Listened to this on repeat walking home for 3 hours and high. Was so tired but it was so beautiful.

"Someone must've told you, someone must control you before you can get free". Dulli is the best lyricist ever.

@resistevolve, Really, the absolute BEST of all time of lyric composing? I adore his compositional mind for many reasons and he is, indeed excellent, but *the best ever?* what are your favourite lyrics of greg dulli, please?

I can see someone legitimately thinking Dulli is the GOAT. The guy is amazing and while he gets some recognition he is horribly under rated.

Just so you know, we may be in the minority but your assessment of Dulli is not at all far fetched. Somehow he remained mostly under the radar, but he is crazy gifted.

I forgot how good this was, just came across Debonair the other day (on a list of like underground 90s hits). I really didn't listen to this band back in the day that much, I had the Afternoon Delight compilation so I knew this song. Well, better late than never (realizing how good this band is)!

Masterpiece of Dulli, cheating never felt so sorrowful!

I adore gregdulli’s performative understanding of (mostly) small-minded caucasoid male-caused issues of his era and society via coercive control and narcopathic abuse!

He sings like he's feeling something ... I love it
