If this is where country is going!!!!!!!??????? I’ll have to eat many words! Just heard this guy on CBC’s “q” this morning & cant quite yet believe my good fortune. Absolutely bloody fantastic, particularly that voice! I can see why their crowds have every type of person in attendance. It’s not really country, but its more country than country! I hear echoes of my fav old cowboy tunes & everything else, but applied with a TwinPeaksesque masterstroke visually. & those masks? Hell.....that’s fun! I’ll be listening a lot!

It's an intense song about lust/young love and the complex emotions that go along with self discovery. Tight reference to the struggles of authenticity found in Catcher in the Rye. It tugs my heart, too. Just going to drop the lyrics here: It's got an awful bite It's gonna rise again Keeping track of everything we lose Another hole to mend Tell me you can stay Don't leave, don't cry You're just another boy caught in the rye Don't say goodbye Head full of nothing and I'm wondering why It's alright Yeah it's alright It's alright I'm coming down I got your life laid on my floor Yeah I'm something of a liar now 'Cause I've seen it all before Tell me you can't wait Don't leave, don't cry You're just another boy caught in the rye Don't say goodbye Head full of nothing and I'm wondering why It's alright Yeah it's alright Yeehaw Tell me you can stay Don't leave, don't cry You're just another boy caught in the rye Don't say goodbye Head…

I’m not sure if I’m right but I’m thinking of The The and The Orange Juice and other 80s alternative poppy stuff listening to this. It’s great. Thanks Internet Today!

That powerful voice It reminds me of the best Elvis tones, you could be a good blood for Grunge in its time. But you have the sweetness of the great, that range of voice that powers that beautiful everything.

This song wakes my soul up. I dance around my house to it. It has that southern funky rock like the Black Crows but better and more refined. Makes me want to cut loose. Oh and then there's the wigs and the costumes. Wurd!

I heard this song on 88.5 FM LA indie music and am totally in love with all the songs on Pony. Recently went to his show at Amoeba in LA where he played acoustic. Just singing with a guitar, his voice is mesmerizing. This is a great album, as a note there are a some gems on the CD that are not on You Tube so highly recommend supporting the artist and buying the CD. YEE-HAW!!!
