Subramanian Swamy explains why revenge drives his politics | Swamy like never before

The Hindu Right wing’s most articulate spokesperson, Subramanian Swamy, discuss his ideas about India, Hindus, Muslims, tolerance and what shaped him to become the man he is, with Shoma Chaudhury at Algebra The Arts and Ideas Club on 25 March 2017.
Contrary to popular belief, Subramanian Swamy believes that India can never become a theocratic state and that he doesn’t support the idea of Hindu supremacy. He also believes that the people who give him lectures on tolerance are the most intolerant people. On the issue of revenge and politics he says, “I only take revenge against those who misuse power against me”. He goes on to add that he will soon teach Mr. Chidambaram how to send people to jail.

A J Anphel No touch with reality therefore such views. Talk of plurality within their faith. Shia vs Sunni? Do they tolerate each other? :) The least of all the Hindus. It is the Christian who would be more attracted towards Hinduism and basic tenets of Christianity have the basis of dignity and love and truth (if not the ultimate truth) and helps them practically to live as more accommodating human beings. Example United States of America (especially). If you ignore the religious expansionists within Christians and their capitalist driven foreign policies. You can still hope to have interfaith dialogue with Christians for example. The Christian world stands by and protects Israel. Not the Muslim. That's not merely politics but a decision of faith.

An army-vs-army war is not counted as inhuman or barbaric. And that's the difference between Ashoka and the foreign invaders who attacked India. The invaders would indulge in atrocities against civilians and would commit arson - destroying temples, universities, libraries, and even entire cities. The invaders would selectively target Hindus. I have not heard of Ashoka targeting civilians or their properties just because they followed a particular religion. So, don't downplay the barbarism of the invaders by saying "medieval violence is just medieval violence". That is the typical leftist-commie narrative about Indian history.

I have personally witnessed how the police very often keep the radicalised Muslims in check by overnight rounding up troublemakers at Rafi Ahmed Kidwai marg, Mumbai where they have a problem even if something happens at Israel or Kashmir like the hanging of Afzal Guru. You need to see the stress and tensions in those police stations due to 'sensitive area' classification. Get a hold of ground reality. The largely uneducated and poor Muslim youth may have problem making ends meet, but they don't seem to have issues with rioting. That they do 'dadagiri' is a fact. And libtards and so called educated Muslims will have no say or rather not doing enough to confront the clerics who rule the religion. We Hindus OTOH haven't given control of our religion or religious dictats to anyone, not even RSS. So there is no question of genocide or mass exodus of Muslims in this country which is pretty relevant by their numbers. Please do mention your views on Kashmiri Pandits as well.
