The problem was that Paro was using that clinch then punch then clinch then punch then hold, then clinch, then punch, then shove, then clinch, then punch, then Clinch, then back of the head, then clinch then punch then clinch strategy and Matias was too cocky to realize and put a stop to it. It's okay, he lost before. Look at what happened in the rematch. Paro was desperate and resulted to dirty tactics.

Matias wasn’t fighting off the clinch well either it’s a skill he lacks . I can’t believe they let Matias go in there with no game plan wtf they thinking that’s a recipe for disaster. Paro has been sparring with Haney & Shakur + a few others the last 5-6 months , and his coming off his best 2 wins his going to come in ready with a game plan . You gotta be realistic, Matias said that he doesn’t listen to his corner that he’s the one in the ring and he does what it feels right. Then again he only fights one way, he can’t change his style because he doesn’t have that versatility. I’m puertorican but you gotta be realistic, it was a matter of time before someone studied his tapes and assembled a strategy. Paro did and it worked. He exposed him. Now everybody has the blueprint on how to beat Matias. The only fighters that Matias will be able to defeat are boxers who stand toe to toe with him, but fighters who have a little bit of boxing ability and are able to execute a strategy most likely will beat Matias. Paro is no great fighter and most likely will not last long as the champion, but he just fought the proper way for a guy like Matias, who thinks he can knock everybody out.

Subriel looked sluggish and his offense wasn't what we are accustomed to see from him. Maybe he thought Paro was going to get tired and slow down, but it didn't happened. Subriel also looked tired after the 4th or 5th round, something I wasn't expecting. I believe Subriel will learn from this loss and regroup, been more conscious that he needs to put more emphasis in his defense from now on. Paro was using a strategy that work by hugging, pushing and punching, also going in with head first. That is the 3rd boxing globe. The commentators criticized the point deduction for hitting with the head, but it was clear Paro was doing it with a purpose, plus a few rabbit punches. I knew he was going to try a few tricks to disrupt Subriel and it worked out perfectly. Let's see what happen to Paro when he comes out of the hospital. If the ear drum was damaged, his balance won't be the same. Hopefully it's nothing and he could be back in a few months, he deserved the victory. and enjoy his championship belt. One more point, the camp in México has been great, but they should've come to Puerto Rico at least 2 weeks earlier not 3 or 4 days before the fight. The heat and humidity here is off of the charts...
