I think it says a lot about Raimundo that he has the humility to admit his own flaws and even wonder if he should lead. His answer was also great: to believe in himself, to embrace his inner nature (work with his inner self), to stand up to fear and take responsibility for the sake of those near him. Now that is the character of a great leader.

Cameron Wright I agree, Omi is a great character, he has a good heart, but his massive ego makes him easily fall to hubris. So when things do fall apart because his ambition oustripped his wisdom, the accompanying fallout is much worse than anyone else's. All of the chosen ones were great, for different reasons.

Omi really is a fascinatingly complex character when you dig deeper, especially since some of his character flaws are a lot more subtly announced throughout the show. Not to mention, Raimundo is a lot more common than Omi is as a character and he’s more relatable than Omi. Omi’s definitely got some big flaws but I stumbled upon a post that really showed the complications of Omi’s character. He and Raimundo really were given the most depth of the Xiaolin Monks. It’s no wonder why the show had them kick the most ass
