So you know Xiaolin Chronicles was it's own stand alone series that only lasted one season. There is a thrid Xiaolin series that the creators said will continue the format set by Xiaolin Showdown which by that I think is it will continue the story from there and the showdowns will now very instead of being the same type as it was in chronicles.

He was overconfident and severely underestimated his opponent because he's blind. He really thought he could just waltz in and beat him, even his interactions with the old man show how arrogant he is before the fight. He probably thought that if he somehow didn't beat this old blind dude up while jumping him Wu Ya would.... obviously he was wrong in thinking that because he got the breaks and training wheels beat off his bike. Eta: I mean just hear the way he screams at 1:23 he was getting his ass beat.
