Dear Jill, I love hearing about your beauty shop. My Grama, with whom I sometimes lived as a child had a beauty shop attached to their house. It's where I learned to crochet by watching her customers (friends) under the hair dryers. I watched for so many hours as a small gal that one day I walked downtown to the dime store, bought a ball of #10 thread like they used, grabbed the crochet hook that Grama used to pull hair thru the holes in her frosting cap, and finally made a chain. Yup, this was the mid 1960's when frosting was big. When I see you, I feel like I am back home at Grama's. I can see the beauty shop in your yarn room. And I actually love hearing your a/c in the background because that makes it sound right. Now all I need it the scent of lingering permanent wave solution!
