It's a special bond that can never be broken, Zoey will always be with you and she will always be proud of you no matter what. I just lost my 16 year old boy two weeks ago. He was such an angel. I realized I left my life on hold him for the last year and half since his litter mate died. He deserved it. Five days later I adopted a two year old GSD. He’s such a handful and he makes me understand just how wonderful my old man was. Senior dogs are the absolute best, puppies are the worst, and I love them all.

When my husband and I got married, he had 2 old dogs and I had 2 old cats. We have since, in the 8 years of our marriage, had to say goodbye to all of them. My heart goes out to you. I haven't been able to even consider getting any other pets at the moment as my heart is just so sore. Much love.

People who say animals are just animals, clearly have never understood that bond of love. I feel sorry for them. Age is just a number. Wether they are young or old, it's always heartbreaking. I'm a cat lady and I lost my 14 year old girl last year, and now her twin brother is sick with the same illness, and more, and is on borrowed time. My world has not been right. These are our babies. My childhood dog was named Tallulah she was one of the most amazing dogs I could have asked for and unfortunately her time was cut short. She too suffered from a slipped disc if her back and it was horrible to watch her in pain everytime she moved. So we made the decision to let her pass on. I still remember screaming and crying as I watched her be taken away from the house so I decided to express my feeling in a portrait I made of her. Emily I’m so sorry. I lost my childhood dog a few years ago and it was so scary and rough. Idk what’s been going on this year but it’s been kinda terrible. If it makes you feel any better, I’ve been having an extremely hard time with like life in general lately and I tend to put your videos on and marathon them as a distraction. In 2019 I lost both my childhood dogs within a year together. One was 17 years old and her body just couldn’t keep up with her and the other was taken by cancer at 8 years old. Im so sorry to hear about your dogs. Im a little older than you and lost my first dog in 2020. And then we just lost another a few days before Christmas in 2022. Your memorial nail was beautiful. It gets easier, but I genuinely think about my babies every day 💜💜💜 sending love
