That mod is awesome, hopefully someday an official VR port comes out for Ready or Not, it would be perfect

RoN is a PERFECT fit for VR, slow pace, super detailed environments to appreciate in 3D, I believe we will get a proper VR port eventually.

@narn_games yes, it's VERY difficult... It's literally have been made already by some random people who don't even have proper access to the source code of the game, ALL the devs need to do is to add manual reloading and some graphics optimisation for VR.

@viktorianas9 ай бұрын
@@Chonkems they can use injector and/or hire praydog himself for a couple weeks, RoN does NOT need to be full fledged VR experience like Contractors, just manual reloading and native support would be enough actually. Also I mean that random people tinkering with injector's settings can make rather good VR implementations, so devs probably are much more competent in understanding animations, objects and other intricacies of their game.

Awesome vid, I'm glad I subscribed! Will play the game in UEVR once I get a graphic card upgrade.

This game is already difficult enough, though aiming in VR might be easier than the flatscreen version since the gun sways around a lot. Really cool seeing what this mod can do though!

It's difficult in VR, but I think you're right since I can aim and look two different ways. It's about to get even better too -- stay tuned!

How did you get the touch controllers to work in this game? Mine seems to only be working with mouse and keyboard. And what are your virtual desktop settings like? You using anything space warp related? I tried playing this on my 4080 pc and I would be getting 72 fps and drop to 32 fps a ton. On all low settings

Best to join the Flat2VR Discord and pop into the Ready or Not channel for advice.

Got a 3080 and VD too, pico 4 instead of quest 2. performance absolutely tanks for me after a few minutes in UEVR, from steady 72fps to 20... What's your fps like?

FPS has been fine for me all around. Though I heard there was a patch yesterday or today that may cause issues.

It's amazing to me how just playing a game in VR actually makes it look WORSE. I've never played this game but I saw when it came out on PC that it looked very cool and well done. Then now watching people play it in VR it looks so janky and visually LESS "attractive". I think it comes down to the really shaky controls and head movement that just can't present well without some work from devs (like what was done in Vertigo 2)
@substatica9 ай бұрын
Watching players in VR is not the same experience as playing in VR. VR gameplay naturally looks shakey but it doesn't necessarily feel shakey to the player in the headset. Some games and recording software include motion smoothing options that smooth out the movement for recordings but do not affect in headset gameplay (these features require the footage to be cropped to stabilize). Unprocessed VR gameplay footage will always look less stable than flat footage because the player is moving both their head and controllers freely in 3D space rather than moving a mouse on a 2D surface. There are things creators can do to lessen this effect such as play seated, or move slowly, but flat will always look smoother.
@WikiPeoples9 ай бұрын
@@substatica thanks, I didn't realize that those motion smoothing options would not change the experience for players in the headset. I can definitely agree that when you're in VR, it looks nothing like the videos... it's amazing, and fun. I would love to see more games ship with options that make the footage better. Obviously though, a non-VR game that is ported to VR isn't going to have that 😂
@substatica9 ай бұрын
If one were to use Air Link, it has motion smoothing that can be applied to any game. Though Air LInk is not ideal for a lot of UEVR games. Also, as I mentioned, when using motion smoothing in Air Link you either end up with black bars on either side when the player turns too quickly, or the footage is cropped to remove them resulting in a smaller FOV for the recording. It's a trade off.
