I bought a pair about a year ago. I've recorded voice and guitar. This mic belongs in your mic locker. Buy a pair and record your band. Downsides: bass is rolled off a little. Don't try to record a bass cabinet likely you won't be happy. No interior or extyerio4r light. No onboard filter switches. Even though the mic body has a standard XLR male connector, its not intended to be used plugged into a 3 pin female xlr connector. You will not get any sound and it may degrade the performance of the mic. The custom cord for this genre of mic is xlr three p;in female (into the mic connector) and on the other end a 1/8" TRS male mini plug.This is compatible with a computer mic input. So it is great for podcast recording in your bedroom., Tip is signal, ring is bias voltage and sleeve is ground. I had to build an adapter to take the pair of BM 800's I bought to go into a stereo signal, mic level input. I didn't find an off the shelf converter, but I expect they are available.Use cautions. Don't try to close mic as the mic does not have a particularly high spl limit. It is plenty sensitive and directional so back off a little for a better range. Typically about 6" (one hand span) between the mic and the lips. There is also an adapter with two 1/8” TRS ports. One for the mic (powered by the USB power buss) and one for a stereo headset. I've had very good results using the usb port into my computer. I have tried to use the two mics into two usb ports, but have not had success. Without going into too much trouble to sort it out. If you are doing podcaster interviews you may have to go with extra gear to make this work. The other gimmicks (reverb, echo etc) can be replicated with free vst type plug ins in your computer. I typically don't use compression on the mic signal on the way into the computer. The mic and signal input have enough clean range so I have less chance to make mistakes when recording. I do use the envelopes in the audio software to punch up the vocals and maximize the level. It gives me great leeway in how to make the dynamic range of the performance really fit into the track. Compressing everything then the 2 channel mix can easily get away from you with an overly processed recording. The pop filter and noise shield work, but I prefer not using them. Teach yourself to pull off axis and roll the beginning of the plosive (P's) instead of using the pop filter. It just sounds better the less in the path to the mic capsule. The arm is OK and the mic support cage is OK. Both are B level. They are not robust and all metal, but they do work. If something on the arm breaks, you may have to buy another one, couldn't find parts on line. The elastic band that shock mounts the mic won't last long. I have not seen these offered on the web, I have looked. So I went to the Dollar Store and bought a bag of colored hair tags and adjust them to length with a crimped metal band. I found contrasting colors with the mic body gave the best functionality. I got a pair of the mics in black and a pair in red. I would have bought a pair in blue as well, but haven't found a great deal on just the mic without the accessories. I put colored tape on the mic body so it can be seen from the recording booth. I also use the same colored tape on the mic cables at both ends. If you are using more than 7 or so mics in one session, you may want to use two colors stripes. So, for example, all drum mics use red with the second color running thru the rainbow. This makes micing a drum kit with seven mics easier to keep organized on the stage plot you create for the gig. This is a good tip for all your mics that may end up in a multi mic situation. Good recording. It is most likely you will get good, clean sounds easily

@@AngaSavi no, you can't record with the phone but only with a laptop as it only uses a Sound Card unlike other USB microphones, but you can record songs with it I urge you to buy the USB microphone from Maono or Fifine because they're much better and easy to use. I regretted buying this one because I later sold it and got a USB FIFINE Microphone.
