Suburban Backyard Whimsy: Recycle, Repurpose, Remarkable!

Suburban lots are, many times, just one green lawn after another. It seems a bit boring to me. My friends, Todd and Candes have really taken their space to a whole new level. Their backyard is like a different world. It's relaxing, whimsical fun and functional.
Some of the highlights are Californian Rabbits, A dry stack brick oven, A wonderful hidden compost pile, Gardens and a huge treehouse!

My wife was sooo po'd, it was funny! I'm still using them. She appreciates my not spending money on garden stuff I find.

Love these types of videos Blake. Love your property too. I've been wondering if I could build my own pizza oven. Only took 30 minutes? That's fantastic. I'm going to do it. Just made my own fire pit. Not much to it but I couldn't bring myself to pay for one. Would love to know more about ponds too. Thanks for sharing. Love your channel.

Yeah, I tried to cut it down, but it was a lot of video we shot there. I didn't want it to run over into a third video. I was considering doing the dry stack oven as a video of it's own, but then decided against it.

Great shed, love the colors! Makes me want rabbits again. But rabbits chew chew chew and need to bread or there are issues so I'll stick with chickens even though I'm a backyard outlaw.

Hey is it beneficial to put the dog shit I pick up in compost pile? Or bad idea?

Most would argue that you should not use the composted pet manure on food crops. If you maintain a hot compost pile and let it go through a complete cycle I would say use that compost on your lawn and landscaping.
