@jonahfastre You are correct. But the thing is, it looks like broken to me. All other subway stations in my city are very busy. But in a subwaystation under the trainstation waits almost nobody. Thats why I think its broken. I will try to demolish the trainstation and build a new one with no subway station underground. And I will build separated subway station next to it to see how it goes.

The reason your subway trains do what they do when they spawn- is the lines are one way going INTO the tram maintenance area , so they have to maneuver to get onto the correct lines. Your city looks great. Thanks for the video.

Quick subway tip! Londoner here: One of the best layouts for a subway is to have the linear lines connected via a ring line so that passengers don’t need to go into a central district to change but can jump between lines using the ring line instead You can see this with the circle line on the underground in London 👍☺️ Edit: wouldn’t worry about right turns on the subway too much, the London Underground has plenty and curved platforms at some stations (Bank is iconic) so yes your curves are pretty realistic !

I don't know how it works in cities skylines, but having all the line converge onto the same tracks limits the frequency of all those lines because you can only have trains coming every ~1.5 minutes in the interlined section. A more effective layout is having a lot of interchanges between line all over the city (like in Paris and most modern metro systems) plus loop lines on the edges or close to the edges of the regular lines (like in Moscow)

Love it, I think some pedestrian bridges/tunnels would really help the foot traffic blocking the road near the downtown train/subway stations. Not only is it currently slowing down cars, but with the cars and pedestrians hesitating for each other it slows them both down. Crosswalk might be too ambitious for that busy area :)

One thing I love doing is creating a Cities Services district -- a super forested area with all of the HUGE city buildings -- prison, university, post sorting facility, etc. all poking through the forest. I am fascinated by your series. Thank you for keeping it going. I love seeing the scale and magnitude of how busy your transportation hub has become. That downtown train station with the subway terminal is the heart of your city right now. It seems like traffic coming to that area would be awful. Even buses are stuck because there are SO many people crossing the crosswalk from the train to the subway. You might want to put them on the same side of the street to avoid that pedestrian congestion. Keep up the good work!

I think taking the subway to get to the train station and from there get to work is perfectly fine and makes it more interesting. Now you use all kinds of public transport - subway, trains, trams. If you build subway lines directly to the industrial area you'll make the trains and trams redundant. Also I think you're missing the counter clockwise lines on the subway loops. Anyways, great job as always - Keralisville looks amazing!

What I found with the Subway system was that you need A) MANY Multiple Subway Yards to supply enough Subway Trains lol, that its best to have them in groups of 2 connected directly side by side with one another located around the map. B) You can connect off those single tracks with the double track tool, the only time you want to use the 1way direction tracks is for the maintenance halls. C) When its time to hook the Subway Routes, hit the underground key first, then you wont need to disable multiple overlays just to be able to see from the other Transportation options. Also make sure you adjust the Vehicle amounts supplied on each transport route because its based on stops and man it can supply too many causing issues. Anytime you see not enough vehicles for transportation, it means more of those Train, Tram, Busses, Subway Cars type yards are required if manually setting route supply limits doesn't fix it etc
@lost3478 Жыл бұрын
hey keralis your vids are really relaxing!!! i wanted to let you know for the public transport each of them should compliment each other for it to be more accessible and realistic. basically your metro should somehow connect to the bus stops and the bus stop should continue to move people where the subway line ends, also think about the sound pollution of a subway line!!! if you have low density housing you dont want a subway station running 24/7 in ur basement. for high density housing since people live in high rises the sound is not as bothersome. same thing with the trams. it should continue connecting people around the city where a subway station either doesn’t make sense or is not optimal to make a subway station. but you do you the city looks amazing i wish i could paint a city this good!!!

subways are normally built within dense city centres because they have a smaller footprint than rail and can navigate more difficult areas. the stops are usually close together and they are primarily used to move as many people as fast possible throughout a dense city area. trains usually make up a regional rail system and its primary goal is to move people from the suburbs / outer areas of a city into the city centre. the stations are placed further apart and the trains go faster and are bigger with more seating.

You make my pitiful attempt to get a city going look more so - you are an artist. I did think that your main subway station should perhaps been on the same side as train station as then people wouldn’t need to cross road in such huge numbers. Heya Keralis, I think the city needs more housing. I like the idea of thinking about CS2 like real life and thinking about what would happen irl. So like, a district of almost exclusively low cost housing with a welfare building and a police station would solve some of your problems I think. It would also be cool to invest in education. I can imagine your industrial pride and joy could use a technical uni to supply them with skilled workers. I think it being near the industrial zone would make real world sense. Thanks for the content and I hope you feel back at full health soon. Take care of yourself, buddy.

From watching others play CS2, it looks like for Mail to be efficient and not get backed up is to go absolutely ham on Mail Boxes. Like 1 or 2 on every block depending on road size, so literally scattered ALLLLL over... im guessing the devs made it semi realistic and Mail Boxes near parking lots and random street corners in real life can also act as a strategic drop off point for postal workers so they can drop off an areas mail to be picked up on foot later to finish the route. Which makes sense and fits with the game as the more mail boxes plastered everywhere seems to really improve the mail situation, far more than simoly adding more post offices, sorting facilities or cargo terminals

Loving the series so far, hoping this goes on for a long, long time! :) A suggestion; I don't know if it's even a possibility in the game, but the street outside of the main train station feels like it would be better off being fully pedestrianized, maybe only allowing busses/taxis/emergency vehicles at most. Might solve some traffic congestion issues in that area, as the traffic through there might not be necessary, while also allowing for the hoard of zombies-- I mean people --to disperse a bit more?
