gosh, this brings back memories. i cant even bring myself to watch this without bursting into tears. my mom used to freaking love this video. i have so many memories of listening to it in our tiny bedroom in the shelter. Once I played it on the street with my friend ~ in 2015 (we were violinists too), we didn't even know what song it was, we just filmed it by ear. After a while, I lost this video and could not find it for a long time. And just recently I was driving in a taxi and I heard familiar notes, then I realized that this was exactly the song from the chorus of Trouble. This is how I found this video. It's just incredible feeling when you think that you will never find something nostalgic and then suddenly it appears 😃

I must say, awesome! My son just came from school overly excited to be in Orchestra and his Teacher taught one of these fine gentlemen. My son says he can't wait to play his viola like this one day. He didn't want to join band or art, he had his heart set on playing the violin but found the viola to be "uber cool & don't discriminate" lol. These guys just helped to inspire my son even more!

This is absolutely fantastic you two! And Rhett, I'm so sorry you've had to go through all this trouble with your "biggest fan" in Trinidad. I don't know what his situation is and why he started ripping you off (money, fame, attention, etc) but you are 100% in the right for calling him out. Not only is he stealing work from real violinists in his area and robbing his clients of a real experience, but he is knowingly completely ripping you off. Whatever his reputation was before, it's destroyed now by the musical community in T&T and he deserves it for doing this for so long. I hope he can find work else where to support himself, but never again in music. You are brave for coming out and you are doing the community a service. Keep going!
