Could you explain 2 dual sub standing vertical side by side vs 2 dual subs stacked vertical on top of eachother.

while watching this I thought of the Cerwin Vega Horn loaded subs that were designed to be vertical to "throw" the bass into the crowd (like someone 10 feet away would be experiencing differing bass sensation than the person 30 feet away) back in the day they described it as sort of an up and over-apparently 30' was more intense like the bass waves loaded up across space. ...I was interested in this video to hopefully talk more specific like two krakens side by side, ... or LIFT one on top of the other?!? or in the green screen behind... VS21 one inverted on top of the other vs not inverting. or side by side vertical vs side by side horizontal... which one equals chocolate :) which one equals vanilla ;) i get the idea... the video essentially says no hard set fast way to answer... here's what you get this route, there's what you get that route... which way do you want to go? try either. try both. doesnt horizontal placements have a better coverage on a narrow long hall VS vertical placement would haave a better fill or coverage on a wide short venue... 🤔

So I've always done horizontal duo double 18's stacked to get the additional 3db gain. Wonder what the gain would be if they were vertically stacked?

The gain should be the same, the comb-filtering happens vertically instead of horizontally, meaning you notice the filtering less.

So i have a sub tower with 2 12s for home theatre i upgrade my tv to a 100" so now my tower is in the way can i lay it on its side? I moved my center speaker above the tv.
