@@ChristianHudnell the headlight and most scrapes can be fixed (sanding/polishing) yeah the clear coat on headlights will be gone, but it oxidizes fast usually anyway, so ceramic coat for UV protection is a must. And yeah i hope you dont find more shit underneath the wrap... I work with detailing and strive to be the best, my mentality is "Not happy with it, point it out and drive it away for free". But any damage like this... unspeakable.

SIMPLE - take him to court and sue him on the basis of ..... Not fit for purpose ...... and I have no doubt the court would find in your favour. However, the problem you could well face is that as it appears he's NOT a professional & is working on a shoe string budget, he might not have any funds in the bank to recompense you, so all you could do in that situation is to obtain a Court Order to seize goods from his property to the value of your losses. Last week I went to get my car tinted. The shop by my house advertising the entire car for 149 special. I went up there and there was a bunch of clowns up there, their work space was really cluttered and dirty. Almost did it and I caught myself. Now I have appointment at the premium shop for more than double the price for some 3M ceramic tint. You get what you pay for. I learned that a long time ago with Firearms too. Wait till the funds are right and get the good shit, if it's your passion.

Ive been wrapping on professional level now in a certified shop for about 1year now and I am not certified to install chrome vinyl. The fact these guys experiment with your car seriously sends chills down my spine. One knife cut on the customers car and consider the wrap free. That's just how I roll.

I would do other peoples cars but id only charge them for the wrap itself not labor as I want to get better at doing it but i would make it very clear that they are going to get my best but not what they see at big car meets. He only charged you $2100 for that? Subaru’s are some of the hardest cars to wrap and chrome is by far the hardest vinyl to use. That’s easily a 7k wrap especially with all the accessories added. Just some poor kid that got in over his head and you get what you pay for.

Vinyl wraps are never a good idea no matter who you take it to. Eventually it’s gotta be peeled off anyway and can damage the paint underneath. I’d go with ceramic coatings and some good wax all day.

So looks like he's dropped the front bumper at one point that's why Its scratched along the front, those scratches on the headlight is from when hes cut the vinyl the blades gone through and hit head lights, them bubbles in the recess there is from stretching and pushing and not laying like he's supposed to.... All them little bubbles are from bad prep, yes it is a difficult car to wrap but this is just from plain inexperience period if your car had terrible paint underneath to begin with then fair enough for the bubbling and pealing but because it has great paint (I'm assuming).. No excuses Also ask for the backing of the vinyl. That way he can show you if it was chine wrap it quality stuff

This does look shitty. I’ve been doing this for 8 years. As for the seam, that is somthing that is done, but definitely only on body lines to sharp for the wrap being used. We charge $3k to wrap a car. How much did this dude quote you?
