Hi Lipon, your videos are well explained for most part. However, in Association the first example is well explained keeping in mind the freshers to SuccessFactors. The 2nd example onwards you have the custom objects created and assigned to job information. When we try to follow the same pattern we encounter an error message. It would great to have multiple videos explaining end to end would be very helpful and informative to freshers.

Superb video :-) I just have one query For Custom MDF to FO association, can we specify the filter criterian in configure object definition as well or it must be assigned in job information only?

Filter Criteria must be assigned to Job info. 2 Reasons: 1. If you don't assign FC in job info, all records will be populated in dropdown and it will not have any dependency based on selection of field 1. So there will be a risk that end user may choose wrong data. 2. Applying filter criteria apart from Effective start date in Configure object definition, will not help, because there, we nee to specify destination value as well. So, specifying that, association will be very much limited with in a small boundary, which is not expected.

In the second example : DestinationField value should be Parent object and SourceField is child as per your first example of Cost Center to Department, so cost center is your parent object from profit center to cost center , kindly correct me if that is reverse explanation in your video ?

Very nice video.Having a small doubt why we are using filter criteria in Manage business configuration in some cases not in all.(such as in GO-FO type in the first example you applied filter criteria and in second example you didnt.)

Using Filter criteria, we can filter out populate values of destination object, based on source field. Here I demo filter criteria of effective start date, some cases it comes by default as '1900-01-01'. so no need to specify that.

Look like you have configured incorrectly FO - FO association. Why we are maintaining association in Location group, instead it should be written in Location ( child object ). Correct me ?

Hey Venkat, It completely depends on your requirement. If you want to populate Location based on selected location groups, then this config is correct. Else if you want to populate Location Group based on selection Location, then association should be done in other way around. And any how, I have just picked one example to demo FO-FO association to depict the idea.

Legal Entity is moved to MDF a long back. It is not any more FO, i.e not any more maintained via corporate DM.
