I agree 100% about listening to friends and family sometimes. I once dated a Portuguese guy and everyone around me just didn`t like him. I remember showing his picture to a colleague of mine who didn`t know much about him and all she could say was "what`s wrong with him? He looks self-absorbed" after looking at his picture. My other friend wanted me to be happy but she herself didn`t trust him. My mom even said he would destroy me.
