Success or Fail Pond Skim

Sugarbowl has an end-of-season pond skim. Successful skimming is skiing across the water. There are many variables to being successful: acceleration, mass, the upward force of the ski vs. weight of the skier, the surface area of the ski, resistance, trigonometry vector analysis, the velocity vectors across the pond, and the velocity of going under.
