Thank you so much for the video! I'm planning to go to Germany after my PG from India, will prepare for german language proficiency during residency. How likely am I to get a residency in radiology, dermat, ophthalmology, int medicine or surgery after completing any of these in india already? Does it increase my chances if I've already studied radiology/ ophthalmology /dermat in India? Will they reduce the number of years of my residency for the same? Is there any process to apply for a reduction in years required, or is it arbitrarily decided?

Hello, your chances of getting into one particular speciality increases significantly if you are already experienced in it. They might reduce the duration, but it is an arbitrary process,decided by the medical councils assessment of your qualification

does the Facharzt ( specialization ) count if you are already a specialized doctor ? or still you have to begin from first year of residency ?
@docdeemishra3 жыл бұрын
its not counted directly, but after you start working with approbation, some duration, couple of years can be reduced. But its the decision of the medical council
