Wow, you own that much soil? From your husband too. Is he a landscaper? Lucky! Haha. Looks like you could own a nursery, with all that.. side business! Osmocote, like your soil, is good for succulents. Just the right amount needed, I think. I’m gonna try their soil sometime as well. I used to use fish emulsion, liquid seaweed fertilizer, etc., but I’m thinking lately that the liquid feed is best for trees, shrubs, and anything taller than you are. Lol, Smaller things like succulents I find Osmocote best, or some sort of slow release granular pellet. Just sprinkled in the soil, lasts for six months. Mixing the liquid feed isn’t too strenuous but I literally have 5 litres of fish fertilizer outside and can’t use enough of it. The plants on our property don’t need to be fed so often, even in summer… maybe I’ll gift it to someone with a bigger garden… hm. The Osmocote seems to help save on time, space and energy! And no smell, which I really don’t care about, but still! No attracting cats and raccoons!

Hi Erik, thank you for dropping by. My husband works from the company who make soil mix. Actually I just used any soil mix available on hand. And just mix the soil mix with perlite.

Hi Ems. Another great arrangement, chock full of beautiful succulents. Would your little sedum be the blue jelly bean sedum, it looks like mine with the pink tips although mine is looking blue tinged also at this time depending where in the garden it is.Roll on warmer weather, it's typical spring at the moment isn't it sunny, then cloudy, it's all over the place!
@Emshomesucculentgarden3 жыл бұрын
Hi Penny thank you so much, your right this spring weather is all over the place I can’t keep up lol. Yes blue jelly bean really look so similar to this sedum I used in this arrangement. I tried to make a bonsai out of this sedum. as well as with the blue Jelly bean I just like the look of a bonsai succulent.
