First of all, thanks for bringing all the stories behind the making of a song to a movie. I always wanted to see something like this as i also had the same thoughts about laila Majnu. Its right that there is a whole group of people who liked laila Majnu so much. Keep doing the good work sucharita. And i know a lot has been said ans written on TAMASHA but it ll be a great watching experience if we could get stories behind tamasha and its music.

Sucharita, we people were wondering if that's me only who is going crazy for the music even after two years. It has been always my favourite album so far. Keep doing this. Keep exploring the music we have loved so far. Amit Trivedi would be the first choice. I'd have listened to Laila Majnu jukebox for million times. 💛💛💛

Sucharita, A big thank you for doing this. I love this film. I have made it a ritual to force every friend of mine into watching it..and I make sure I watch it with them. The other reason to watch it with my friends is to show them my Kashmir, my hometown.☺️❤️ Believe me, I have done a lot of PR for this film.🤭 I have just one request, Sucharita, Is it possible for you to bring in the actors of the film for a similar interview. I think it would just tie everything together for the fans of LailaMajnu.

The versions of tum has another fanbase altogether man! Can't get enough of the songs and the screenplay of the songs. Specially when Qais loses his senses during aahista, it hit me right in the chest. The wait of Qais spoke to me. Everytime I see that scene with Arijt's voice it has a different impact altogether. Aahista is like a fresh breath of air. And Suchitra I am so glad there is somebody like you who also feels that entire scene when Qais and Laila meet after 4 years is the best scene until now. Beautiful film, can't get enough of it! Thank you for giving this film another platform which it truly deserves. ❤️

Sucharita, you are a gem to film journalism. I haven't seen an interview which dissected a film so brilliantly. And it all comes out of the passion you have for cinema. Looking forward to more interviews. If possible, dissect some movies which have great cinematography. This is one aspect I can't analyse properly and would love to learn more about it.

No, no, no, you're not weird at all for liking this film, Sucharita. I and the fans here are with you in being obsessed about the movie. Thank you so so much for doing this interview. Laila-Majnu is one of my favorite films of all time- I think I cried for one whole day after watching the film and still wail like a baby in the ruins scene. I have been guilty of spamming the message box of Sajid and others associated with the movie so you're definitely not the only one obsessed :) The music of the film is probably half of what the movie is- so haunting, melancholic and beautiful. It actually sounds like music from another world ("Apni vaali jageh" as Majnu puts it). I have been following Joi Barua and Niladri Kumar ever since. Just one humble, humble request- can your please interview Hitesh Sonik and Irshad Kamil as well please? That will certainly complete the Laila-Majnu music discussion. But more than anything else, THANK YOU for doing this interview. This movie deserves all the love in the world. ❤️❤️❤️

Sucharita! The honesty with which you love and appreciate art is aspirational! It is SO evident! And more importantly it is relatable. Your channel is hence special! One sometimes falls in love with a film and album to such an extent that it starts affecting the way one thinks. Laila Majnu is clearly one such film and album. Thank you for this incredibly wonderful conversation and for letting Sajid Ji and Niladri Ji know that there are a bunch of people who have dissected the film to an extent that it is not even believable any more! Ufff.. majaa hi aa gaya! I’m going to back to playing this album end to end right now!

I think its high time we as a responsible audience start identifying such majestic pieces of art in terms of their potential and not by how much fame they've acquired. This was one such movie, which I didn't know existed. Once the song Ahista hit my ears, I was taken to a different dimension altogether. Needless to say, the aftereffects of the film lingered with me for over a month. I really thank you so much Sucharita Di for this video. Laila majnu will always be special, and with creators like this, we are sure to see more raw talent in the upcoming days. One that lingers, and doesn't fade away easily.

So true @PritanshuRout Honestly, getting absorbed in your works, both for Tumbbad and Laila majnu is a major stress buster. These interviews are more than mere de-coding of some artistic marvels, these are an artwork in themselves. I am a major fan of your deep understanding of cinema and I am in absolute love and awe after watching these interviews. People like Anand Gandhi, Sajid Ali, Joi Barua and Niladri Kumar are such underrated geniuses who should be brought out to the world. And of course, your questions help in fleshing out the best... You are the best💛. Please keep doing this. Indian cinema and viewers deserve this intellectual approach to art.

I was living under a rock to not see these episodes earlier.. well done sucharita .. what a brilliant movie, album , song, cinematography and these 2 parts covered songs very well .. Joi is ❤ .. i will be called border line psycho if one more time I msg the makers.. need more episodes about technical aspect , dialogues, script etc for this movie.. i too think its my movie 😂😂 and think a lot about it.. i want to know so much.. why dint script explore the idea on what majnu sees in laila ... as per story she wasnt the best looking girl and majnu would get mocked for loving her and not looking at others.. also, there are barely any scenes of the 2 characters being in love .. just 1 meeting or 2 .. wanted to see more between them..what was drawing them to each other.. could have given us more to think about 😅 ... was it the 'idea of love' instead of actual love for each other.. you can do it @sucharita.. some more videos on this epic is needed ..

This is a very difficult cinema to make especially when this kind of cinema has been made a lot of times in India and now current society has resorted to realistic cinema vs. the love stories, but this film will definitely touch your rooh if you have ever fallen in love and become Majnu/Laila. For the interview, I think its a great initiative to bring this film on surface through this interview. Thank You! Loved it..And I loved the fact that you have observed the minute details about the film. Looking forward for such interviews.

Again, thank you thank you Sucharita so so much. We need such conversations about underrated films. Coming back to Laila Majnu, the intensity of Hafiz Hafiz and Ahista hit me when I saw the song being shot the way it was shot in the film. So overwhelming that I broke down while watching it. The acting, direction, cinematography, music, singers and the lyrics came together perfectly. If you can get the actors and the writers as well to talk about this film, it would be really good to hear about their journey with Laila Majnu. #foreverlailamajnufan
