One of the best stories about Robin had to do with Christopher Reeve. Right after Reeve's accident he was getting ready to go in to literally have his skull reattached to his spine. He only had a 50/50 chance of surviving, so along with being extremely depressed he was concerned that he might not wake up. In came a doctor, with blue scrub hat and a yellow surgical gown and glasses, speaking in a Russian accent." The man announced that he was a proctologist and was going to perform a rectal exam on Reeve. It was Robin Williams, reprising his character from the film Nine Months. Reeve wrote: "For the first time since the accident, I laughed. My old friend had helped me know that somehow I was going to be okay."

Christopher Reeve's didn't get enough chances to show off his comedic skills (one of the best aspects of his Clark Kent, in my opinion) and no one could turn an award acceptance speech into a stand up routine better than Robin.

Pam was always ever so sweet with him, not just in character, but always gently leading him by the hand.
@Professional_Victim_H8er2 жыл бұрын
The hand a genuine love for each other. Watch the documentary “Come Inside My Mind” about Robin’s extraordinary life. They interview Pam throughout it. When it comes to talking about his death she completely breaks down. Even though they had only seen each other on a few occasions in the decades after Mork & Mindy ended, you could tell they had a special bond that transcended time & space. ♥️

I wrote this after the death of Robin Williams, August 2014. I laughed so much I cried I laughed so much I nearly died It was all too much It was all too little too late The demons that haunted you at night in bed Was the emptiness in your head and not your soul All those years lost searching For redemption from prying eyes not knowing That this clown Was burdened by an unimaginable dark cloud The loss of your dearest departed friend Didn't mean it signaled the end But it did steal something And left a remarkable gift so amazing and profound. When on one hand it took, the other you received and gave It was not enough to silence the millions of critics in your mind Why didn't we spot you were running out of time? I laughed at an Alien called Mork From a planet called Ork And how could deary me, Forget Mrs Doubtfire, that wonderful Scottish nanny. The Doctor you played in Good Will Hunting, Gave a tiny clue to your depth of compassion and feeling. But, alas the greatest character you played was the one we never truly knew. S.Miah

I love this :) it's wonderful seeing Chris and Robin together, old friends who both made it big. It's like if you and your best friend became famous, you'd still see each other as the same people, still laugh at all the in-jokes, still crack each other up. The fame and fortune wouldn't even matter, 'cos that's your buddy. That's what I see when I watch these two together; regardless of how incredibly famous they were, you can see how much they adore each other and how Chris can't stop laughing with his old pal :)

To those who are familiar with the Superman franchise, does anyone else reckon that Robin Williams would have made an excellent Mr Mxyzptlk?
@prestonfontana84167 жыл бұрын
James Farina Should have been the replacement for Richard Pryor in Superman III. Nothing against Pryor in any way. Just would have made a better movie.

Great Rao, yes he would have! And I bet Chris would have been over the moon about getting to share the screen with Robin, who he loved like a brother. I can only imagine what those two would have gotten up to behind the scenes and between takes, lol.

Sometime after Christopher Reeves accident someone said to me, "Well I guess Superman wasn't a superman after all." I replyed feeling angry about the comment, "What are you talking about, he is a superman, what other man could have survived that accident and kept going in that condition with such strength and grace."!!!!!!!!!!
@ddelaney7127 жыл бұрын
I grew up with these two. Chris being Superman was cool by any standard and I was naturally drawn to Robins brilliance as a comedian and a breath taking actor. I miss them both but I hope whatever demons Robin had and Chris's paralysis is cured. These two gave us so much joy and laughter, I hope the joy they gave the world is returned sevenfold. God rest, God bless and God speed Robin and Chris and thank you for the joy both of you brought to all of us left on this rock floating in space.

man it's really fantastic that Chris Reeve of all people got to hand him that and i'm glad he did. i think it broke Robin's heart when he died i've never met Robin Williams but like it's been said they were so close that it wouldn't surprise me if part of him died when he did, and than a decade later Robin sadly died himself. i think someone on here said that the world has gotten a lot darker since he did and they are 100% right. it's sad that it has but it's sadly true, now if you really want to start crying watch the video he did with his daughter Zelda a few years back and it's on here and they talk about how she got her name and his love for the game series. and you can tell that they clearly adored each other and were very close hence why you would start crying when you realize that she no longer has him sadly. she said that she still can't watch his movies and i can see why. but than his son Zack also said the same thing as well
