Actually hoshi was being super humble too, back then, the top 3 groups in kpop were known as “EBS” - Exo, BTS, and Seventeen. This “EBS” term was referenced in shows and by other celebs too, and basically most kpop fans in South Korea would be in one of the EBS fandoms. So really, even though seventeen isn’t as popular as BTS, they were still one of the top groups, always making it high in the charts. So this was very sweet to see two major artists be so down to earth.

Kpop idols really like Seventeen. If you hear of idols going to a concert it’s always seventeen 90% of the time or idols interacting with each other majority of the time it’s a seventeen member. People really like them and are comfortable around them. Outside of American artist I’ve only seen Jk go to Seventeen and IU concerts. They really be friends with everyone regardless if the group is old or new and people are drawn to them.

About hardships, Hoshi came from a humble family. He graduated through scholarships, would wake up everyday at 5am to catch the train to another town just to get to school and then come back to training all night. Now, he's the one granting scholarships and sponsoring the very school that gave him the opportunity to graduate. Afaik his father is scammed by a friend and went bankrupt. They had to sell their house. After earning enough, Hoshi bought that same house coz he can't let go of the great memories they had in that place. He is a precious human being.

as far as i know, SVT has 13 members but BSS (BooSeokSoon; which are from the names of the 3 members in that subunit) are like 3J so the BSS comeback after 5 years is kinda like 3J getting together to do the butter megan remix dance after 4 years of not having done anything together. Also i’m pretty sure SVT is still under pledis and BTS is under bighit, and both pledis and bighit are under hybe so i assume that’s why they said they’re now in the same company :)

" I was just the kid who smiled " man hoshi this sentence hit me so hard that I nearly cried , he basically summed up his entire existence in such a beautifully simple way , the kid who smiled, wow , talent, efforts ,fame ,work ,life drama aside ,this is it when it comes to the very core of a person , simple but gorgeous way of putting it , it made me recall my high school classmates and tried looking for the kid who smiled in there and think about which kid I was ,seriously simple honest stupidly cheerful poeple like him may not be the best at vocalizing their thoughts ,nor use flowery language complicated long sentences which frustrat me sometimes since I get the urge to do the talking for them but when they say something from the heart it's hit way harder then any Shakespearean novel

The repackaged album Sector 17 was good too. If you like rock then Run to you or clap (has Rock elements). If you like r&b then Habit or Good to me. If you like EDM then Hit. Fear is just a great song. Like I said, something for everyone but a distinct overall Seventeen sound. Suga proved that he really did his research! A the start he made reference to a tiger which is one of Hoshi's nicknames - along with "hamster." And at 3:25 he says "You came a little earlier than 10:10!" This is a joke about his third nickname, because the angle of his eyes resembles the arms of a clock at 10:10. Seventeen did not take a break, but Hoshi's subunit (BSS) released a new mini-album after five years. Boo Seok Soon is also called the Gag Trio because those three members (Hoshi, Seungkwon and DK) are like a comedy troupe when they get together. Their songs are always funny, upbeat, tongue-in-cheek, never serious. Seungkwon especially has been a favorite guest of Korean comedy variety shows since their debut. If you want to see Hoshi at his best, watch his solo single "Spider". Just incredible. Every compliment Suga gave to Seventeen is deserved. Their incredible talent is obvious from the very first moment you see them. You need to be careful! I became an ARMYCarat before I knew it was happening. Thirteen seems like too many, but they each are so unique, charming, and talented that you will know their names and individual personalities in no time. My biases are DK, Hoshi, Seungkwon, Joshua, Jeonghan, S.Coups, and Wonwoo. My bias wreckers are Dino, The 8, Mingyu, Woozi, Jun and Vernon. 😁 That's how it is with Seventeen. Pretty much everyone is OT13.

Yes I love Seventeen and there are too many songs to choose from but one of my comfort songs of theirs is Kidult. If there's ever another group that is worth exploring, it's definitely Seventeen. They are simply amazing. They came from a poor/ broke company and had to self-produce their music and make their own choreo in order to survive and now they're one of the top groups in kpop (some sources say top 3 currently). They're so talented, chaotic and funny and one of the best performers in kpop. They're also the most synchronized boy group (according to a computer analysis done on all the major kpop boy groups) which is insane considering how many members they have. They are joking about what bts has done to the industry but he fails to acknowledge what Seventeen (and specially him and woozi as the perf unit leader and producer of seventeen) has done to the industry, the focus on dance for the 4th Gen and not just hard or intricate but also perfectly in sync are because of Seventeen, now most companies ask the members of their groups to write lyrics because it gives a sense of the idols being more involved with their brand and songs, in the way Seventeen was branded as self producing idols since debut, before them it wasn't that expected but now it is, and it's their influence that has helped shape that part of kpop whether they want to recognize it or not

Hoshi is the performance unit's leader, Woozi is the vocal unit's leader and S.coups is the leader of both Hip-hop and Seventeen as a whole. And all 13 members were born between 1995 and 1999. In 2018, Hoshi, DK and Seungkwan ( known as the gag trio of SVT) started a special unit "BSS" just for their fan-meeting events (CARATLAND), but CARAT kept asking for an official comeback and finally after 5 years they released not only a digital single, but their first single album "SECOND WIND". Familia i as waiting for your reaction to this cause you know this was huge for me cause i love both of them so much. The only interaction of them we had on ISAC. About Hoshi, he almost choreographed every single song for seventeen. He is so strict as a leader and so chaotic outside the practise and all. He is the most extroverted introvert i've ever seen. JK is so close with the 97line of svt and he even went to their recent concert too. And fun fact: Tae and Joshua (lead vocalsit of svt) shares same birthday like 30th dec 1995. They are also close with each other. 2:23 It's one of their popular song called I Don't Wanna Cry. 3:27 He mentioned it because hoshi says his eyes are like the clock needle when it hits 10.10 time😂 11:44 They were under pledis ent.a and hybe holds share now, like a financial support to them. And BSS subunit made debut 5 years back and they are having a comeback as BSS after 5 years. This subunit was inactive not Seventeen. They were focusing on SVT works rather than subunits. 23:33 That's from MAMA Performance dance practise uploaded on Bangtan TV About seventeen, they are self producing group debuted in 2015 with 13 members and 3 subunits, Vocal, Hiphop and Performace which makes 1 team. So 13+3+1=17 that's how their group name came. SVT has 3 leaders for each team and one of them is the common leader for the whole svt. WOOZI is the main producer and vocal unit leader (he kinda looks like Yoongi for real) while Hoshi is the choreographer and Performance team leader. SCOUPS is the hiphop team leader as well as SVT leader. There are 2 specal subunit too SVT Leaders and BSS stands for BooSeokSoon, consist of 3 members and the name of the group came from the members names. BSS is actually known as gag trio cause when these 3 are together it will be so chaotic. Their deep conversation was so interesting and cute! when Hoshi mentioned his concern about time and his group's future and then watching to Yoongi's reaction made me teared up not gonna lie 😭 Both have humble beginnings and I think it's really nice to watch them interact since they can relate to so many things. I thought they were close because I've seen BTS and Seventeen together and interacting for years in so many awards, promotions and stuff but I guess it's just some members that are close like Jungkook. Now knowing that, I can't imagine how difficult must be for BTS to develop friendships and now it's even harder because of their popularity and the fact a lot of people gets intimidated by that even if we all know they are so kind and friendly. The members of Bangtan always try their best when they meet people and I think that's really sweeet. 🥺 Anyways I'm not a carat but I was almost a fan years ago so I've seen a lot of their old content, performances and I know a lot of old songs. So, I know Hoshi is so talented and he's a really good person . It was really nice to watch how much he admires the members of Bangtan and made sure that Yoongi knows that BTS really paved the way. 💜 Some people get mad by that statement I truly don't understand why because it's facts and it's not an insult to any other artists. it means that BTS helped or made easier for k-pop to enter to the west and global music industry and market. As Yoongi said, the groups or solo artists that are successful now made it with their own talents and the ones that not I guess is for many reasons. 👍🏻

Hi Familia, you don't know how heartwarming this interview was for me 🥺, I've been an Army for years now, and I have listened songs from other Kpop groups, but I wasn't a fan of any, the dedication, charisma, and honesty at making music was hard to find, basically BTS set high expectations on me, but a few months ago I discovered Seventeen and wow! I never thought I would fall for another group like this, they're such talent people, compose and write their own music, a VERY chaotic and funny group, passionate, and their bond is so special too. Their choreographies are mindblowing🤯, I don't know how 13 people can be SO synchronized. I thought they were just another group that had debuted in Hybe, but I was completely wrong, I looked them up and saw their beginnings, how difficult it was for them to start in a small company, they definitely won my heart. I know you probably won't react to them in the channel, but if you having a bad day and have some free time at home, I recommend u listening to "Kidult" or "Circles". Purple u💜

I’m (an extreme) baby carat (still at the “getting to know individual members/title tracks” stage) and this episode made me so happy. Hoshi is such a likeable person, he’s unbelievably talented, he loves his members so much (all members of seventeen have a really beautiful bond) and I’m so glad he could share his concerns with Suga, bond with him, gain advice. I hope they actually kept in touch after this! If you guys want to see more, I highly recommend watching Hoshi on Lee Youngji’s Nothing Much Prepared show, especially since they collabed on their comeback. Youngji has been a Carat for many years and her bias is Hoshi, there are some really sweet and deep moments on the show.

ArmyCarat here! I have been an Army for like 7 years, and told myself that I will only stan BTS. But I found SEVENTEEN last year. They are also different from other kpop group. BTS taught me how to love myself, when I felt my existence was not valid. And SEVENTEEN reminded me that I'm also a person who has my own life and deserved to be loved and adored by someone. That's how their songs comforted me. I'm proud to say that I'm a fan of these two groups that made me feels like my life is beautiful.

I've been listening to kpop since 2011, before BTS debuted. I have never seen a show like Suga's show, where idols got to talk with each other so honestly and openly about their struggles as idols or their hopes and dreams. Especially with BTS, I had never seen them be able to talk to a senior idol because of the rivalry between companies and idol groups. I know that BTS has been open about the idols that inspired them and they admire and respect, but they never had the opportunity to talk with them for advice (at least not to my knowledge, and BTS seem to tell us ARMY almost everything) until now. I think BTS are giving a good example of being seasoned and successful idols that can take other younger idols under their wing to give them advice and show them support. But I honestly never saw another senior idol do that for BTS until now.

I realized that you miss a lot of what’s said in the subtitles, so I think it’s important to pause and read properly especially the parts that are long so you won’t be confused. They explained BSS at the beginning that’s it’s a sub unit Also as everyone should know three of JK’s closest friends Mingyu from the 97 line is in Seventeen along with The8 and DK. Any award show or event where idols gather they are always together and he’s mentioned him in numerous BTS videos. Other than that Joshua and V sharing same birthday .. their leader RM and S Coups known for their great leaderships and just like Suga mentioned bighit was nothing before and Pledis was nothing before they made their company major companies

the squeal i let out when they released the teaser for this!! 🤣😭 i've been a fan of kpop since i was in first grade, knew the tannies in 5th grade and saw SVT's debut on my 6th grade, and yes you are right, as aproud armycarat i melted, IT'S BEEN A WHILE SINCE I GOT A BTSVT crumb🤣😭 my cheeks hurt bc i was smiling all throughout this suchwita episode bc they're literally not only my ult groups but also both my biases!! 😭 Seventeen, a 13 member idol group, it's complicated but 17 came from 13 members + 3 sub-groups (vocal, performance, rap) + 1 team = 17, they're a self-producing group, they write their own songs, get involved in making their own beats even in choreographies (Hoshi himself specially made a lot of SVT choreographies!!) they are known for their GOD TIER SYNCHRONIZATION. BSS is a subunit who debuted in 2018, they haven't released anything since then and this is their first comeback as a subunit😆 ALSO sebongs do not have that much of an age gap with the tannies!! they have members born in 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999 😆 (before they were busy as they are now, there are so many interactions between them and bts that you could search!! specially ones from ISAC) Joshua and Taetae shares the exact same birthday!! Mingyu, The8, DK are friends with JK and included in the infamous 97z gc Apparently Jimin and Vernon are also friends 😭

as an armycarat my heart was so full with this episode of suchwita! just to answer a few questions - seventeen has 13 members and BSS is 3/13 of those members which is Hoshi, Seungkwan and DK. that unit debuted in 2018 with Just Do It and didn’t release another song til this year lol that’s why they said “comeback after 5 years” but seventeen did not take a break! they we’re constantly releasinng music, touring, other variety contents. - seventeen became under hybe because hybe or Bighit Ent (before the rebranding) acquired Pledis Ent. making pledis one of the labels under hybe labels!

Hi a fan of Seventeen here 😊. I cannot really choose a favourite song of seventeen cause there's so much to choose from so I will name a few; heaven't cloud, thanks, shadow, don quixote, FML and super. That's six hehe. there's so much more, these are just my taste songs. They got lots of song in different genres, specially upbeat songs and also so so good emotional songs that will make you cry. BSS stands for BooSeokSoon. It's the name of the three members in Seventeen, Seungkwan, Lee min (stage name DK) and Kwon young (stage name Hoshi). Seventeen is a 13 member group including these three. And BSS is a subunit. They released their first song called Just do it, five years ago and had a comeback recently. They didn't really take a break or anything, and seventeen didn't either. BSS didn't really have time to release any music cause they've been constantly working as Seventeen. They are a part of Seventeen and seventeen has been constatly working since their debut so they haven't taken any breaks. I hope that makes sense 😊😊 And they didn't really go from one label to another, Seventeen debuted under Pledis entertainment of which Hybe became the major shareholder back in 2020. Also a little info about Seventeen if you're interested, they got 13 members, 3 units and they are 1 team so - 13+3+1 = 17. That's how they got their name. Their 3 units are Vocal, Performance and Hiphop each of which has a leader - Vocal team leader - Woozi, Performance team leader - Hoshi, and Hiphop team leader - S.Coups who also is the leader of Seventeen in general. Seventeen leaders also have two singles one is called Change up and the other is called Cheers if you're interested. It is a little confusing when they are divided into to unitl I guess, but that doesn't mean that the vocal team only can sing, and performancce team only can dance as such. just consider them to be a group where all members are really really amazing dancers, singers and also they can rap too. You should see the vocal team rap 😉😉.They are a wonderful group that honestly I just don't have words to describe how amazing they are. They are devided into units cause they own have something that their specialise in is the best way I can describe it. It's hard to explain and when I was becaming a carat it was confusing to me as well. But it's easy to get after watching them for a little while. I also would really recommend watching their perfromances if you're interested, they are amazing. Also for Hoshi, he's got two performance songs Tiger, and Spider if you're interested in watching him. He also like tigers a lot. Seventeen is a really passionate group, and eahc of their members are super talented. and also if you want to have a nice laugh, watching going seventeen. They release an episode each week and it's a good way to get to know seventeen. Also they are one of the most funniest groups I've ever seen on Kpop. Just amazing. Sorry for the long essay, I just wrote in case if anyone was interested in know. Thank you for the reaction 💖💖
