I remember my aunt, who was a beautician....that's what they were called WAY back in the day, saying wash your hair until it squeaks. That's how you know it's clean. Thanks for bringing that to memory.😀

Thank you for telling people to wash their hair!

Thank you so much for explaining that! So many people in the natural community stress the importance of not "stripping" hair, but honestly? I need my hair to feel like there is NOTHING on it right after I shampoo. I've tried only co-washing and limiting the use of shampoos at the suggestion of a lot of naturals, but I ended up going right back to really CLEANING my hair. Gonna try the SUCKA FREE next time I'm in Target!

Same! I think we've learn to equate moisture with oils and creams rather than with actual moisturizing our hair with water and conditioner during the washing process. I do think we are getting there now that we have actual hair stylists making products!

Man, I love Mya! She is right y'all! When I got the best silk press of my life the stylist shampooed my hair 3 times. She is an expert in silk presses and said I should be lathering up 3 times. Well I did it when wash day came and it took 3 lathers to get the squeak (not the shampoos in this video). Sure enough my DC worked like never before and my leave in worked amazingly. Two lathers just wasn't enough. Now I wash until I hear the squeak because I believe 90% of my hair problems stemmed from build up and not effectively washing it out for a very long time.

You did an awesome job of explaining the rationale of WHY we should wash our hair. I think most of us knew that we should wash our hair, but this definitely helps my understand WHY. Thank you!!!!!

Been trying your mousse def for my wash and gos, and I am sold on trying other products! My hair hasn't never been this soft yet defined with just one product, especially not a mousse. I also love the smell!

This is so helpful! I’m going to Target this week to pick these up. May I ask, what is the pH of each of them? Thanks again for explaining so well.

When do you use shampoo versus co wash?
@vayoha024 жыл бұрын
You do a co wash btn your shampoos.
@cfoster68042 жыл бұрын
Why do you even need to cowash though? You are just creating massive build up.
