she is incredible. my mom is a violinist and while we had almost nothing to our name, I grew up playing, learning, and immersed in this certain universal beauty. musicians speak a language. Brittney Denise Parks work and musical composition speak to everything i know and love

I love how with the little apartment and the crosses on the walls and candles I thought it was going one way, but then she was dressed like the Mistress of Darkness or something and the duality of that felt very familiar in the scene. Felt like I was looking at an artistic representation of myself in my mothers world... there's balance to me in my heart, but other sides/duality terrifies others ....very beautiful. I'll be watching and listening for a long time to come, thank you Sudan Archives.

idk about all that fam, it just felt really familiar and made me feel like I was living in a Christian house trying to be me and being called the devil again lol.

I felt every piece of this description. With addition of the song lyrics "There is a place that I call home But it's not where I am welcome And if I saw other angels Then why is my presence so painful?" The lyrics really drive echo that duality. It also reminds me of not being hetero or cis in my super Baptist Christian home growing up and knowing that those parts of myself will always make unwelcome in the home of my family.

Confessions are falling down Down Down They soak up the dark, damp ground Down Down I know it's weird How all this green appeared I think I dreamt it here I promise I'm sincere And as to my own will Watch me frollic through the fields, bitch There is a place that I call home But it's not where I am welcome And if I saw all the angels Why is my presence so painful?
