Two things impressed me: the man who said, "You are welcome to stay in my house," and the youth sitting and sprinkling water with the hose. The things that caught my attention are the accumulated dirt in the streets and markets, especially around the university. Where are the students and teachers-don’t they see this mess? And where are the cleaning workers? Secondly, the state of the deteriorating monuments is disgraceful.

Thank you! Sudan is not the only place where there's been some confusion about my country. Often if I've said "Finland" people think England. And sometimes confuse it even with Philadelphia and the Philippines 😄
