4 UTIs in 4 months for my mom and the delusions/hallucinations haven't truly gone away at all yet. She's on powerful psych meds and gets penicillin for the UTIs now but still no idea why this is still happening and not going away, all scans and neuro tests come back normal. It is soooo so frustrating. It was in a matter of maybe 2 weeks that her personality and mental state just completely changed. I just want my mom back.

I am so sorry you are dealing with this. Read my reply to Kimberly about what we used that helped my MIL. Maybe it will help your mom. Be careful with the psyc meds also as they can often bring on the symptoms.

Hi T lynn, I totally understand what you're going through. I've been dealing with it with my grandmother for awhile. She has neurogenic bladder from a stroke and the UTI's have been the worst thing so far! I've been trying to reach out to others to get some advice to prevent this from happening. I personally think the hallucinations from the infection cause worse symptoms than the stroke.

@@vincevega6676 well its been 4 weeks and my grandma is exactly like your response. Her mind has came back mostly but she has episodes of confusion and mumbling throughout the day.

They give an antibiotic and it comes right back over and over. I can't understand why they can't get rid of them. I know more than one person that this is happening too.

We gave my MIL cranberry pills ( get at health food store) Doctors and nurses turned up their noses but the truth is she stopped having them. We also had to push her to drink more water and fluids without caffine.

I am not sure what pill you are referring to. Talk to his doctor. And if you don't get the answers you are looking for change doctors.

I am sorry you are angry. This video was created years ago. I did the best I knew how at the time. I keep it up because the information is good, and relevant, and has helped a number of people. I hope you have a better day.
