I'm from Buffalo New York and the infrastructure throughout the entire state is complete garbage. Every bridge throughout the state is going to collapse at any moment due to rust.

Usually you see a hole and think your safe a few feet away, but not so. Most of the time there is a huge void or cavern beliw the hole and you are probably standing on top of the cavern only held up by a thin sheet of asphalt. When it falls it's gone. People swallowed by sinkholes stay there. It becomes their grave. I'm glad you are safe though you were making me concerned for your safety. Anytime you see a whirlpool by a road like that get away!!! There is certainly an underground hole and most likely about to be a sinkhole.
