i'm... considering to move out again from mom's house after watching this, maybe having my own place would help with my self-management. freelancing at home is hard bc i have to consider all occupants despite my erratic schedule :/

I recommend you doing that, it’s easier to start in an apartment than in a home of your own. Don’t forget to treat yourself once in a while and if you can have a pet there, better !

Also, don’t pick the first place you find, lightening and location is important. If you want to have a routine with more productivity I recommend you to look for places with a lot of windows and look for windows at east so that the sun fills your place every day it rises ;). It’s better if your bed is near that window, that way you’ll wake up early and happier ( scientist confirm that waking up with the sunlight makes your mood brighter and helps to evade stress and depression )

I am having the same problem. Our household can be toxic and distracting and does not really help with work and ruins my peace of mind. I'm also thinking of moving out soon, but the expenses are just too high. I don't earn enough yet to pay rent, bills, utilities and necessities altogether to still have some left for savings. It's suffocating to live from paycheck to paycheck without any money left for treating myself or emergencies.

(i mean i expected biggest cities like london to be that way for sure). im very lucky in the way that finland pays you accommodation support (idk if thats what it translates to correctly) if you dont earn enough money. im a university student and live on my own in a studio apartment and receive 'student allowance' and 'accommodation support' during the time i study, now im working full time for 5 months in the summer and dont get the support as i make enough so the government sees it as not necessary to pay me. in the fall when uni continues the support continues as well. its tied to my income. it would be extremely expensive to live here as well with no help, but people move out of their parents place quite young and are able to bc we get the financial help if needed. as this is the norm here i find it so interesting to hear how it can be so difficult in some places (ofc some places also have a very family oriented culture so moving out isnt that common bc of that reason as well) thanks for sharing!
