They used to be so popular in UK and Japan but after unfortunate incident with the management and wrong PR, they somehow went into oblivion. Of course, as for big Suede fans, their music have never left from their mind and soul.

I'd say it was more a case of the band running out of steam musically, Brett lyrics unfortunately declining in quality, and releasing a bad album (A New Morning) that even Brett admits they shouldn't have realeased. That's what contributed to them needing to call it a day but I'm so glad that they were able take a good long well needed break when they did and then come back with some excellent albums.
