I'm actually happy with these past 3 albums. Suede has maintained that sense of melancholy that made me fall in love with them in the first place.

You know Night Thoughts is kind of a cross between the energy of Coming Up with the emotion of Dog Man Star!!! I know this tracks from another album but that’s the feeling I get!!!
@davidoof18262 жыл бұрын
Yes. At the time I've loved the pop swagger of Coming Up but albums after that made me want the twisted glamour and melancholy kitchen sink melodrama of the first two albums. The post-reformation albums have brought that back. I'm not sure if any one album matches the debut or DMS but many of these later album songs would easily feature in a Suede Top 10.

A brilliant, simple and pure pop promo. A wonderful track taken from an instantly classic album. That's the beauty of Suede at their finest. They take the 'other', the lost, the wasted and make it intoxicating. They are the kings of British guitar music. And yet they meltdown their golden crowns and give it back to their audience with every new album and every gig.

Isn't there a copyright issue in the US that means they have to release under "The London Suede" - I thought the litigation around that meant they never did much in the US in the early days & now they're probably seen as "too old" to start trying to build a US following.
@sandralitfin98854 жыл бұрын
I'm in TX and have loved them since the mid 90s. I'm showing my age :-) Fell off my playlist for whatever reason for a long time, and just recently rediscovered how truly good they are! All the songs I've loved 20+ years ago still sound good today. Them and the Manic Street Preachers... so underrated and should've been huge in the US!

There was a long long time since I didnt find an album to hear from beginning to end!! to cruise it, to navigate it completely. That is to me the ultimate test forn an album, that you dont want to forward or skip any song, nor even mess with the order. I watch you drift away Around the room in my dress The jewels on your bracelets Have seen their best I watch the sweat form Against your clothes I've seen the look on their faces I think they know That the clock is ticking away And the wind is calling us And the pleasantries will chain us No more When it all is much too much We'll run to the wastelands Where the snow is all there is And words sound different When it all is much too much Meet me in the wastelands Where the fear will fade away Where the children in us play I walk the smoky room And stumble into you The chattering of their voices Says nothing new But the clock is ticking away And the wind is calling us And the way you make your exits There are no words When it all is much too much We'll run to the wastelands At the car beside the roads And seek each other When it feels like much too much Meet me in the wastelands Where the horror slowly fades Where the children in us play When the world is much too much We'll run to the wastelands Leave footprints in the snow 'Til our ties are severed When it all is too much to much Meet me in the wastelands Make a chain of flowers Like our ties are severed When the world is much too much Meet me in the wastelands At the car beside the roads And seek each other When the world is much too much Meet me there in the wastelands And the wind is on our face And our veins are opened When the world is much too much Meet me in the wastelands Make a chain of flowers And the children in us play The sky was steely The countryside was bare Twigs crackled under Mole's feet Mole was alone And far from help And night was closing in

Tenia miedo de decepcionarme y no queria hacerlo en verdad... pero este album es bello, y acabo con esa preocupacion!!
