Marina great singer, a soprano herself , producing, dancing, singing, rapping ! A great musician , a big talent, a kind personality! There is no other song that can represent more "united by music". So many elements and cultures combined in a very modern and inspirational way! She totally deserves the win and she will get it! Lets vote her ! 🏆🏅🏆🏅💪

The thing is that they used to THROW plates. Not just to brake them. And they were actual plates. The ones that there were on their table. Nowadays they just brake them, and there are not real plates anyway. The "plates" used now are made of gypsum, in order to be fragile and not likely to cut with their edges when broken. They also break glasses. After drinking wine in this glass. I would say that this was more common than braking plates. Back in the 50's and 60's when real plates were thrown towards the singer's feet while performing it was very dangerous because the broken plates were very close to broken glass. It could be harmful especially if the singer was female wearing skirt so as to wound her legs. Then they came up with the idea of using plates made of gypsum that were fragile and even if thrown it wouldn't be that dangerous. And now they just take a pile of "plates" take the first, turn it 90° degrees to the other plates and use it in order to brake the others. It's not my thing to go to places where that happens. It's called "Bouzoukia" which is a pitty that they are called that way, but if I start talking about it, it would take too long. They also throw flowers. Usualy Carnations or in the older days Gardenias which are way more expensive. There might also be the case that the whole table would be overthrown. Or dragging suddenly the tablecloth while the plates and glasses are still on it. That it would be in real life, like maybe in a wedding taking place outside. But in the "Bouzoukia" not any more, I think. The whole thing is mainly for the drunk people to spent their money. And when there are people spending money that easily and that often may lead to the conclusion that the money they are spending are not that "clear". All in all, ordinary people would not do it !!! Not every day at least. Contrary to what people from other countries may believe, it's NOT that popular in Greece ! I've never done it in my life, and as far as I remember never even seen it happening in front of my own eyes! I may have seen someone break his glass though. The following is a KZbin video of Marina visiting the extremely popular "Bouzoukia" singer Paola. The latter is giving Marina the microphone to sing. And she even throws flowers to her. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gnzIhamEmrppn68feature=shared
