I followed a ship via 'Marine Traffic' with my Copperfox model horses on it all the way from China to a UK port and it travelled via the Suez canal...I bet most items shipped from China to Europe come via here. Interesting vid, I had no idea how blue the waters are. Next, /I'm going til watch how it was made....Kudos to the men who made it.

Watching the whole video, (and judging by the sun position until the sunset), I could say that the cargo ship. Enter the south of Suez Canal and exit in Egypt, Port Said. (sunset). 150 + km, should be near 12 hours I guess. Am I correct?

@Hadrien Van Eerdew. The reason you don't really see that many large ships passing in the narrow parts is because the passing place is in the middle. It's called Bitter Lakes. It's much wider than the rest of the canal.

it is done wireless beforehand by bank transfer, most likely. Each ship has ID beacon. If not, Egypt border patrol would have blocked passage probably.
