I have my own take on everything that is said in this lecture. Particularly about *loving suffering* or take it positively. You just need to overcome it. It doesn't matter how you take it (positvely or negatively). I don't believe in ease of hardship until you are used to it. Like being able to lift 1,000lbs like a pillow, allowing you to do everything else easier. What this lecture said is true, just not in the way the lecturer thinks (or how he said it, anyway). Suffering is no blessing in diguise. There's just a reward for overcoming it. The test is anything but SHORT. It's only "short" because of the comparison between temporary life vs eternal life. We won't know until eternal bliss or agony is given to us. We will know, but not now. And if you know, it won't ease the burden. Because, you just MIGHT endure something harder. God said that he does not burden his faithful servants (at least) more than what they can endure. Meaning, he'll put you to the limits. If you grow stronger, you'll just face a greater endeavor. It only matters when you are NOT ready for it that makes the severity of the stronger endeavor matter so much. The point of life is to be tested, but if I have to be honest... I hate enduring. Because I've endured too much to take more.

Let me share, i grew up as non muslim, in a poor household with alcohol and substant abuse present also physical abuse, i was homeless aged 17. At 19 i tried to unalive myself, a week later someone gave me a quran, in 1 day i accepted islam and realised that i had to endure those 19 years of suffering to truly truly appreciate what i have now. I am a mum to 5 beautiful children, i have an amazing husband and i am so grateful for every little thing in life, i can buy my. kids clothes, we have a warm house, we love each other and we are content. Alhamdullilah, verily with hardship comes ease. Dont give up hope.
