I have a neighbor with a Boy dog, named Bibo that looks like Butter, and even has the same expressions with putting his ears down ... I save all my bones for Bibo.. then go over and give it to him. He just loves it. Anyway... I'd save some bones for Butter, but your just so far from me here in Luzon! I hope Butter gets better soon!

It touches my heart how you love and take good care of philippine native dog. Most of the time they are abandoned, abuse, homeless and starved just because they not a breed dog they are not getting cared like one😔😔 but look at how she makes you happy. Philippine native dogs are really nice a wonderful dogs if they are loved and cared for from the beginning.. My neighbor has a dog just like Butter. And he is really sweet. I give him all my bones i save. once a week i give them to Bibo.. Bibo gobbles them up! There is a vlog on it if you want to watch it. Also.. you are so right about how touching it is to see Brett take such good care of butter. Butter is lucky. and Bretty is too!

What immediate action he said back then that butters always ate alot but never gains weight. That should have been the first clue and now that she is feeling worse it took him two weeks to go to the vet. He should have taken the dog to the vet way way earlier.

Reminding you....dont bring butter to all of your trips especially long distance ....the dog cant urinate for many hours stay in the plane and not good for her...she could develope sickness and you must avoid....i love seeing you with butter caring each other....you treated her like human and you're kind to animals as observed....luv...luv...

I was teary-eyed the whole time Butter was inside the doctors room . I felt that way when my dog had to be confined and had to be operated on. We had to change his diet too. But his better now. Butter...feel better okay..

You are doing an amazing job as Butter's Dad. Good call on taking her to the vet...when fur babies are sick, which is sometimes hard to notice, time is of essence in getting them the right intervention. I lost one of my dogs 3 yrs ago to kidney failure (which is the more serious type of kidney disease) but he actually lived 18 months longer than I was initially told by the 1st Vet who diagnosed him. All because I vowed to do the best we could to extend his life and great vet care from a superb animal hospital in long island. Had my dog been diagnosed with a more benign and treatable kidney disease, he would still be alive now, we would have provided and did everything possible to nurse him back to health. Hopefully Butter will recover from UTI in no time, we could see you take care of her very well and you feed her a good quality dog food (my dog was prescribed a US brand KD Diet Dog Food then) and medication. Just remember not to give her table food intended for humans especially the ones with spices/salt etc., lower protein diet (dogs with kidney disease cannot tolerate protein rich diet...so banana and eggs are a no-no), no chocolates/grapes/raisins and all those yummy food for humans but toxic for dogs, and always clean her paws after walking outdoors. Butter is lucky to have you.

My dog was a kidney disease survivor. Been 3 years now and he is still alive and kicking. His vet loose hope and only miracle could heal him. We want to spare him beacuse we feel that he is fighting for his life. Then 1 day he took off his dextrose and he is well then. Love of their human parents are the best medicine. If they feel the love they will fight.. 😊

@Bret, there's a soft chewy tablet like where you can insert the medicine so she wouldn't notice that your feeding it to her called "Greenies". It'll be a lot easier for both of you. Tsk tsk.. Usually if it's kidney problem it's often connected to a dental disease or congenital. But you wouldn't know that of course because you don't know Butter's background. I hope Butter gets well soon. Don't feed her anymore vegetable or human food. That's a no no for pet dogs.

Bring her out with a lot of oxygen and make her tired outside so she'd drink a lot a little at a time introduce plain water to her. Don't forget to expose her to lots of sun so she'd drink water and stay with her outside a lot. I am talking through experience as a dog breeder in Quezon City Philippines. Dogs that stay outdoors have longer lives and shorter if inside the house because of lack of sun oxygen and water and ofcourse exercise so she'd get thirsty and urinate a lot. Kidney cured. No need for vets medications. Natural things is the real way. My Schnauzer had same problem about 5 years ago and he's 9 now and very well. I walk and run him 23 minutes in the morning and in the afternoon. He was in pain and could not walk well and had pain going up. I introduce water every time specially after exercise and bring him outside several times a day to pee even though he does not pee. He got cured with no medication. Just did my research. Good Luck. I had all the time for my dog then because of being about 57 and could not find a job, but now am 62 and have lots of time with him and still doing our routine religiously. I want to help Butter because I know she could be cured by what I did to my Schnauzer. Most dogs gets all kinds of ailments staying in the house a lot which has less oxygen and ofcourse the sun and water. That's the best for kidneys and for humans to do the same. Most diseases are caused by lack of these 3 things. Stay alive Butter. Just hope you read this and consider me a friend.
