Liam and Zayn are more like… parental figures lol. Louis is more like an actual brother and Harry more of a best friend. Liam and Zayn are almost always peaceful and protective, Louis likes to joke and mess around a bit but he’s super protective and loving at the same time (like real brothers). Harry is the best friend who is also protective but not in the same way. Harry and Niall are the two youngest so the boys are protective over both, but Niall more so because Harry acts more grown-up I guess, he knows how to handle stuff and all that but Niall is like more innocent so they all feel more protective over him.

Yes, Zayn and Liam are kinda really protective and proud of him. Zayn till recently tells in interviews that he is very proud of Niall and feels like Niall is his little brother. Harry is like on the same level as Niall, brother, partner in crime. Louis is the kinda brother who will tease the f out of you, but won't let anyone else harm you, and get really protective. Niall is the baby of the group because of his happy go lucky nature and he was just like this goof-ball always !

Zayn is an actual angel in human form. One of the purest and fun loving people ever. He has anxiety issues and so doesn't like being in the public eye much so people assume he is arrogant or egoistic. It's the exact opposite though.

I just love their family dynamic so much. You have Louis as the oldest brother, then Liam and Zaynie are the middle twins, then Niall and Harry the baby twins. That's my take, but I always feel like that's how they worked. Like Louis was always the boss and looked out for them, but also kicked their ass for no particular (except Harry's but you get my point). Zayn and Liam were like the middles, kind and helping big bro care for the littles. Making sure Harry doesn't die in a fire... or helping Niall when he hurt his knee. But they are also like so kind to each other too. Then you've got the chaotic clumsy carefree babies haha. I just love then aaaahhhh.

Zayn, Louis and Liam were very protective of Niall. Niall and Harry were kind of on the same level, they were just goofballs, and the absolute best duo, Niall really brought out the silly, chaotic side in Harry. They protected Harry as well, but Niall just gave innocent/pure soul vibes, It didn't help that he was so tiny back then and he was also claustrophobic and plus he was always injuring himself whether it was a broken foot or his bad knee. Another thing is that he was always so happy or at least seemed to be, any one direction interview was literally incomplete without his laugh 💖 If Niall was sad, you would know that there must be something really wrong. All these factors are what I guess brought out the protective side of the boys.

A lot of the protectiveness in the early days, from what I remember, was kind of influenced by their managements mistreatment of Niall. They saw him as kind of “lesser than” the others in terms of talent and there were several instances of his mic being turned off before his solos, when there were no other technical issues in the same show for anyone else… this is what I think had just happened in the clip where you say he seems sad! A lot of times the others would all hold their mic’s up to him for his solos, knowing that had happened

Yes, Zayn is caring, protective, inteligent, and a precious person that in the first years loved being in the band because seemed people really liked him and didn't treated him different because he was musland (he suffered bullying because of that before) but last year he was more quiet and not so happy because feels that may not be truth, that management only wanted he sings well and all can have their own musics in the albums and none of his musics were in their albums. And he was sad because the members of the band didn't support him and he needed medical care and they feel also tired, like they said later. Now the mother of Gigi wanted to take care of Khai to make her a baby model...I hope Zayn has someone near that really like him and help him with the question of anxiety and cannabis because he is a beautiful person especially inside and very talented.

No it was not what happened here , I guess here he was sad either because his voice cracked or because of some other reason. But what you are telling happened some other time that I don't remember . The so called fan did say those shitty things that nobody asked for and aren't even true . But after that “fan” said those thing Niall got really upset and have his mic to Louis and didn't sing and cried in Zayn's arms for the rest of the song and after that they took him behind the stage . Well this is all I was told about that incident and there isn't a video tho only just a picture of Zayn hugging/comforting Niall so I don't know how much of this is true

Zayn is actually such a different person than what he is usually portrayed as or perceived in the first glance. You have to see him in fetus days ! Such a loud, funny and sweet goof-ball he was sometimes. He did get a little quiet in the later years but he still has a very soft side to him, wears his heart in his sleeve, and is just a lovely person in general

Yes, at the beginning I didn’t really payed much attention to him and didn’t want to get in to his solo stuff because of what happened between him and Louis ( who is my fav) but after I saw more of him in the fetus days you can’t help but fall in love he in my opinion has one of the purest hearts but gets portrayed different to who he really is. You can see how sweet and pure his relationship was with all the boys and when you see what he went through you understand him and why he acted the way he did his nothing but pure love.
