I get why most would compare James to Lewis but apart from the raspy kinda vocal I just don't see it. The best thing about james is that you know he came from the darkest of places, so everything is so much more in touch with people who have been through a similar thing. I do like Lewis capaldi and admittedly I don't know an awful lot about his life before fame but I don't get the same feel from him. I think that's why james struggles to get the top top places in charts with some songs as they are so complex, some people don't relate whereas Lewis's songs feel more for the generic listener if that makes sense. Not taking anything away from Lewis he's brilliant and absolutely hilarious. Please react to I am by james.

I don't know why, but I still have to mention this, cuz James came first, Lewis came after, I was a fan of James for years now, listening through all of his albums, seeing his journey up until this point where his new album is about to drop. Lewis Capaldi amazed us with Someone You Loved and Before You Go, because his "cracky" high note resonates with James, that's why people just keep making comparisons between them, I mean they are both from the UK, James is English and Lewis is Scottish, and I really respect the way they convey their music with rawness and real to the music.
