Sufjan moves me like no other! Even though there are some dark, lonely elements, the mystery and poignancy keep one buoyed upward in a spiritual place. I really appreciate the layered word meanings and the sparse way he conveys his message. Masterful!

I agree. Sufjan Stevens has some of the greatest musicianship and musical creativity of our generation and pop stars with minimal talent get the glory. The masses need to get some taste.

Wow, I haven't had a listen to this in a bit, but it is beautiful. This was my favorite song by him for a long time... still probably is. This album is especially fun if you are from Illinois, or even better, Chicago! Headphones in the city... perfect.

I read in an interview somewhere that he's thinking about focusing more on arranging than songwriting from now on. While I hope he makes many more albums, I love the string parts he comes up with to intro his songs and there's no doubt he has a real talent for it,
