I remember as a baby ARMY (like first week in) I felt so bad for thinking of Yoongi as the kitty member when I was trying to learn their names and faces. I was like noo it's not good to compare people to animals....but this guy gives off such cute yet disgruntled cat vibes. Then I found out that basically everyone thinks the same even the members so I felt less guilty about it. Also was super surprised that Jin (who I thought reminded me of a fluffy alpaca) created an alpaca toy that he treats like a son.

Suga's animal association is a cat. That's why there were a lot of cat edits in the video. Even the editors of their videos refer to him that way. He's very hot and cold with how he acts. He doesn't show affection for attention so his affection is often done privately and he gets a bit shy when people point it out. He can also be very silly when he wants to be.

One thing that often gets misinterpreted is when Yoongi looks away from their hands in. He's actually said that he will only look when it's the last time and actually when they did their last concert before on of the last Permission to Dance concerts, they thought that would be their last time performing a concert together for a while so he looked and then looked away to denote a break but not a break up. SUGA doesn't look inwards when they do the cheer before going on stage. He's known as Li'll Meow Meow because he has a cat like aura. He loves cats but doesn't have one. The other members send him cat pics if they see a cat when they're out and they say it's Yoongi. He is often tired because he works all night on production. He would like to be a rock in his next life. He suffers or used to suffer from social anxiety so likes his own space. He shared a room with Jin for some years and they put up a barrier between them so that they could have privacy. Jin is also an introvert and understands SUGA. The best description of SUGA is that he is tsundere. Cold on the outside but warm and caring on the inside. He has two signature happy dances and really these days he is far more out going. He looked really good as Min Yoonji. He said he looked like his aunt.

He can seem cold and standoffish and make no mistake he has a plain speaking savage side but especially when it come to the members (or min holly) he will let his guard down and we get to see that suga has big kind and caring heart. Yoongi actually loves affection and attention, it just has to be in the right time and my guess also is that he doesn't quite know how to ask for it sometimes or react when he gets it. Especially in the past. I think he opened up a lot over the years. Also, this is just my guess, but his chronic pain from the shoulder injury might have been a factor in why he used to be quiet and tired a lot in the past, because at least from what I've noticed, he seems to be a lot more active and enthusiastic about things these days (relatively to his past self anyway). Obviously, it could just be a normal personality shift, but I know from experience how exhausting chronic pain is and it can drain you a lot to the point where it puts a bit of a damper even on activities you would normally enjoy a lot more.

You're right about Suga showing his love through actions. His love language when it comes to showing it is definitely acts of service mainly (from what we've seen at least). He'll randomly do things for others or make sure others have something to eat or they're safe or comfortable. He'll openly worry about people and he has a tendency to not like it when people surprise him with random affection but he'll subtly seek out affection when he wants it. So he'll scoot close to people and you'll see some members casually initiate contact to test the waters before pouncing on him. They're always so happy to cuddle him when they get the chance. He really is similar to a cat in many ways. He has strong boundaries and if you respect them, he's happy and he'll eventually let you get close and affectionate with him when he's comfortable with it. He's such a sweetheart. And you always know that when he gives a compliment or loving words, he fully means it because he's not the type of person who can be talked into saying things he doesnt mean. So the smallest comments feels grand when he says it.
