The “break up”: During the Festa Dinner 6/13/2022, BTS told ARMY they needed to take a break until 2025, so they could do their military service. The translations used the word “hiatus.” Also, at the dinner, RM broke down and cried, hard. And RM is the member who cries the least. It just fucking broke those of us watching. The news media jumped all over the story and started reporting that BTS was breaking up. And those who are used to western musicians, when a group tells you they are going on hiatus, they rarely come back. When JK learned about what ARMY was going through, he went live and talked us off the cliff. And RM posted something saying they were not breaking up. BTS has asked us repeatedly to trust them. They will be back working as a group in 2025. They demonstrated their commitment by resigning their contracts with Big Hit early.

Right, but back then we didn't even know that they were officially going to serve in the military, we all were still hoping for the government to give them an exemption. So in that festa people were so confused and scared because they only said that they would stop group activities for a while and focus on solo activities for the first time, also they were crying so much. Media took advantage of that and said they were braking up, even in my country Panama our oficial news channel posted " the boy band BTS breaks up" and people were believing that false scandal, my friends and family that didn't know anything about BTS saw that and asked me because they knew I was a fan, I had to clarify that a lot.

In Korea, people often get vitamin IV’s. They actually have a functional healthcare system, so people tend to go to the hospital a lot more. If they start to get a cold, they go to the hospital for vitamin shots and fluids. Sounds like Suga was suffering from exhaustion, so he could just check himself into the hospital for a few days of solid rest and good nutrition. Also, yes, that is the way BTS does sponsors. They are the most unserious spokesmen, but they basically sell out everything they advertise.

They don't have to advertise, if Army see's them using something, BAM, it's gone, sells out. That's why the guys, ( esp JK) will never tell what cologne they use.

That sounds like functional..we have great doctors but the system is failing it's original base (which is free and excellent healthcare for everyone) so if you've got a good education you tend to demand from them because paid helthcare is aiming for insurance system so they are in these "only cure" mood since pandemic. Oh, I forgot to mention that workers have the right for paid attention deducting a low amount per.month. So you can choose between paid or free healthcare, every year. I'm all for preventing medicine ....🤦‍♂️

if you watch their 2022 Festa Dinner in the future (it's their annual celebration every June 13), they've announced in that video that they will be on hiatus for the group activities and focus on their solo ventures (we didn't know yet that their enlisting soon in the military during that time) and everyone, outside ARMY of course, interpreted it as them breaking up because there's this stigma in the word "hiatus" because of One Direction. They also said that they were taking a hiatus but eventually broke up so everyone thought that it will be the same with BTS. The members got upset to the point that they have to clear it up and confirm multiple times that they were not breaking up and just opening a new chapter in their careers because months later, they announced their military enlistments.

Silver ARMY's knew what was coming, as how many times did RM say " just a break" had it only been for solo projects he wouldn't have gotten so upset. Also, Jin was approaching Miliary age and even through ARMY was hoping the gov. was going to give BTS a pass, BTS had always said when it was time, they would go. IT was a big deal in the press and in the gov. because of the other companies, not Big Hit. JIn was going to go in August. however The gov. then pushed for them to do the BUSAN concert, ( long story), BTS agreed and took over the plans ( they had to, what a mess), and The guys knew it was their farewell concert for a while. J-Hopes speech was a big tell, two days after that BTS made the announcement they would be going into the military, do some solo work before hand but Busan was their last time together and they would be back together in 2025. There is a BTS book Beyond the star, you could read and it would catch you up on their back story up until JIn went to military.

Like I said in my previous comment on jimin’s ep you need to watch the 2022 festa dinner where they talk about the Chp 2 plans. So of course when they announced they were taking a “hiatus” the media ran with it and said they were breaking up which they weren’t and rm and jk explained it it was a nightmare but ARMY knew because we always trust their words btw that’s their 4th 1 bil plaque they got it for butter, dynamite, boy with luv and my universe were currently trying to get fake love next…

53:38 When BTS first announced they would start focusing on solo work during their festa in 2022 on June 13th RM broke down crying, they hadn’t officially announced that they would be enlisting (that announcement come right after their FREE busan concert in October, Jin was the first to enlist, in December), so army was really going through it and the media, both western and Korean, took this opportunity to lie abt what they said during their anniversary event that was meant to be a special time to be honest with ARMY and it spread like wildfire that “BTS were breaking up/going on indefinite hiatus to focus on their solo careers”, HYBE stock values started to plummet, armys became very confused bc of the mistranslations media reported on, jk had to go live on his own to correct the record and calm down ARMY and reassure them that they were not disbanding. In the end, RM published a very long letter with a very harsh and protective tone over BTS and army directed at the media, journalists, etc who take advantage of them, those who twist his words and clickbait their posts with screenshots of him in tears to spread lies abt BTS breaking up.

BTS is not just the most streamed Kpop act on Spotify with almost 39 billion streams total as a group not counting solo stuff (By a ridiculous margin) they are the MOST streamed group, beating out groups like Coldplay etc. They've had uh 4 I think songs go over 1 Billion streams and Jk And Jimin each have a solo song (in addition to the 4 with BTS) go over 1 billion streams in a year/under a year.

I have never felt stronger in my life than I have since I discovered BTS and their music. im 67 yrs. old. I grew up an introvert,quiet,reserved with strong feelings of insecurity. Grew up in 60's and 70's. I did not believe in myself and became the "watcher", not much of a talker and kept my feelings to myself. After two failed marriages early in life, I chose no trust in men. I learned to acknowledge my talents and worth. I learned to love people and myself BTS has been in my life for 53 yrs. They have shared their life with me every day. early on, I discovered how much I needed them in my daily life. They gave me beauty in their personalities and hope in youth in observing all that is good about life. Lessons in critical thinking for youth and lessons learned. How to nurture ourselves as youth realize that we all need each other to survive in this crazy world.

Thank you for your reaction yes you are right it's 1 billion streams on Spotify when they were talking about people who are saying they were breaking up they were talking about when they first announced that they were doing solo stuff because of the military taking a hiatus from group projects play the video started reporting that they were breaking up because of what One direction did when they said they were going to hiatus. The media mistranslation and ran with it. Non Army or muggles as RM called them like to tell us that they aren't coming back when they have said multiple times that they are you should react to Love letters by Army and then JK's arms and rm's and jimins reaction to it if you haven't already also RM is coming! Jajajajaja. Chips and queso. No, this deserves at least some beer. Mr. President is the MC for today. Actually he is Min Yoongi, SUGA, producer SUGA and August D. Suga has sureley improve his dancing skills a looooot. He did some amazing choreos during D Day promotion. Polar Night has such profound lyrics and he did it in ana hour!! But then he has some songs that has taken him years to complete.

In 2018 they were talking about disbanding because of various problems the members were feeling, and jhope wanted to leave the group but jk cried so much and begged him to stay. I think they were all just exhausted

What.... no no you are mixing the timeline. Jhope discussing about leaving the group was in 2012 predebut. That's when jk cried and RM convinced him to stay. Jhope stayed cus he trusted the members. In 2018 it was ALL of the members who were exhausted and tired and they ALL thought of leaving. It was also around the contract renewal time. They all decides to stay cus of their attachment towards the group.

Still catching up and love that you explained more of the meaning of the amygdala. I used to work in alternative medical therapy and you worded it really well since it is so hard to explain. I am glad that you mentioned about damaged amygdala since I too thought it might be that as a theory. If you haven’t seen his MV, or have, as I’m far behind with your reactions, Suga is eating almonds in it too. I paused it so, I will continue watching your reaction. I saw you mouthing the People pt. 2 and nice.😊. I had no idea what you did as a living! What a great way to help! Suga has written so much lyrics and produced so much that in a clip somewhere, RM asked him how many days it takes him to write a song and at theat time, Suga said he wrote a song in 1 day everyday. He even wrote songs for BTS while he was recovering g in the hospital from his appendix removal and RM always was amazing, and the others are now also amazing writers too! If you want, you could also check out the clips from each of the 3 that did a song with Suga at his concert in Korea 1st day )k, 2nd day Jimin, 3rd day RM where Jin and JHope got to leave for a day to be n the audience with V. The only reason V didn’t perform was that he had not yet released his album. There’s such an emotional moment not shown in the movie where ARMY helps sing with Suga! I won’t comment about the whole hiatus thing, but do recommend you watch the BTS Festa 2022. It does have fun parts in it. If you’re still getting to know the members, J-Hope becomes very quiet when he drinks too much. Hint! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜👏👏👏🇨🇦

To answer your question about why some folks thought or spread the idea that they were gonna disband: During Festa 2023 (13 June anniversary V Live) they announced they were going on a hiatus to do some solo work. It was clear to ARMY that it was mainly to facilitate individual enlistment, but the media amplified the likelihood of them going separate ways for good, and the misinformed public decided that it must be so. They were NOT listening to the boys! The members were at great pains to stress that they were NOT disbanding. They were actually emphasising that they needed to get their creative individual work out of their system before they did their military service.

Well, they kinda own Hybe and SUGA is THE BTS producer since day one alongside Bang-Si Hyuk who happens to be Hybe's Chairman. I don't know how far involved in the company are these days but in 2017 they were given like 14% of BigHit's (entertainment company inside Hybe) stocks to all seven. You'll notice how Suga now very much a Producer himself, refers to "our company" in these episodes (and JK admitted they "built up" Hybe as the Apple Music interviewer put it)...Suga can do as he wants, all of them can but they already know the industry boundaries.
