12:43 that clip where they were crying is from their Wembley concert where the staff and fans surprised them by adding Young Forever w/o them knowing and ARMY sang the song with korean lyrics. Coldplay is a group that they have followed and been a fan of for a long time. They didn't actually call them to request a collaboration, it was just said in passing during an interview or a show that they would be interested in a collaboration, and/or they are fans of Coldplay. Someone Chris knows said to him that they heard BTS wants to collaborate with them. That's how it got started. Then Chris' people contacted them and they did the collaboration together. By the way, you skipped the end part where they had the dance break. It was a vibe. I’m pretty sure someone mentioned this - BTS actually didn’t say they wanted to do a song with Coldplay; Jin (and Tae) is a fan and had mentioned how much he liked them and would want to ‘one day’ do something with them and that’s how it came about! In other interviews, Chris Martin always credits Jin for how they came together!

...and the First song BTS did in front of a live audience was this one, with Coldplay, at the American Music Awards. Their wish came true. Then BTS won 3 awards, including Artist of the Year! Amazing!

Live this reaction - when Beyonce did guest vocals on a Coldplay song she went to Chris Martins house and they turned one of his kids bedrooms into a mini studio. As a band they've always been low key and preferred working in person. (There's footage of Beyonce recording her vocals in the Coldplay Documentary Head Full Of Dreams).

After I got my ticket to see BTS at SoFi Stadium last December - that night, in my dream, Chris joined BTS to sing "My Universe" for the encore. I thought, nice dream, but no way... Welp. When they started the encore with "Mikrokosmos", I. Lost. My. MIND!!! 🤯🥳 I told everyone in my section, "Chris is backstage!" And then it happened. We were laughing, crying, singing, dancing- I will NEVER forget that moment. 🌌 And I can't wait to see what I dream about the next time I get my ticket to see BTS!!! (Later this year I hope!!! 🤞) 💜⁷

They couldn’t be present in person within music video because of health safety reasons since it was during high peaks of the Pandemic even though Chris was able to go to South Korea to record with them for two days, which is why they create the first ever in history holographic Intergalactic music video.

#Coldplay never retired, they just couldn’t be on stage performing like many artists around the world and they explain this; COLDPLAY came out with a new album which this song is part of it. This track is made by Coldplay for BTS and they teamed together to create this first ever coldplay song combined with Korean lyrics which was written by RM.
