Good stuff. I'm thinking to make a combo route map for him. Just trying to figure out how to lay it out since he has two sets of punches on the ground. Shouldn't be too too bad. He's a weird one though. His damage output doesn't feel particularly high and he needs to burn a couple or all of his meter to get good damage that others seem to be able to do more easily in actual combos. I see his grey life output isn't bad with his stand strong (claw) and I suppose it's at a higher rate than most characters with the added range and meter gain. He also seems to have to be mindful of positioning for certain VT1 combos to work as well as specific aurora edge combos. Hopefully once I map it out he'll be less of a mystery. Like how only wall dive slash > light aurora >> VT1B (straight) > Ex wall dive can combo but if you used the strong aurora it won't work.

Thanks, glad you found it useful :) I usually separate normal and VT combos, as fun as VT combos are they are probably 5% of the actual match and VS combos will be sprinkled in as with exception of Dan they don't add many extra combos :) Time stamps are bit of extra work, maybe I'll pin a comment with them in the future :)

U can sweep after VT1, right? Like, after using raw VT1 or after cancelling into VT1

I believe it is slower with the claw so doesn't combo from fast attacks and/or there are better options.

Talking about using pad? I use fight stick myself as I find it awkward doing circular motions on gamepad. There are pros (e.g. Smug) who are very competent on pads though, it's whatever works best for you :)

That's probably the optimal way of playing him, using his long pokes to frustrate your opponent. I don't like to tell people how to play the game, I say whatever is the most fun for you then do it 🙂

By itself or from a cancel? Doesn't make any sense to me. Have you tried using the shortcuts? F df f and df d df. Go into the training room and turn on inputs, make sure you're doing it correctly :)
