Mine too, at 2 years old they flowered, all 7 of them, grown from seeds, though only one of those flowers resulted in a fruit, that fruit was the best fruit I ever tasted in my life. When it grows to considerable size, I'll take scions from it and graft other annonas with that to save that new amazing cultivar I ended up with. On the other hand, my Cherimoyas are 4 and 3 years old, and haven't even flowered yet.

Atemoya is my fave fruit but the one I had didn’t do well at my elevation. I have a cherimoya that is doing better now that it’s not in a container anymore.

Wonderful container grown sugar apples. Can I ask what soil conditions compost are being used. Do they like alot of water, humidity and acidic or neutral soil?
@FlyingFoxFruits2 жыл бұрын
i grow them in peat moss with a tiny bit of perlite, i hear they aren't particular about pH, and even can take some alkalinity...mine run acid to neutral probably. They need full sun and good drainage most of all.

Thank you Mine is over 2 years and hasn't bore fruit The plant is huge but no fuit I thought l saw it bud but it all fell off again

Feed it weekly and after 1 month it will flower, you need to raise calcium levels , use seaweeds and fish protein for aminos and hit it with mkp. A tree will not produce unless it knows it has the nutrients available.

I'm looking to grow some in the Seattle area and plan to have them in vary large pots; I can move them into my garage during winter or protect if they can be outside. Which version will fruit the earliest and cold hardy? I'm in zone 8b and have a large side yard that's south facing with no trees, so it'll get our full sun when it's outside.
