**** I forgot to mention that I put the veggies/fruit and 1/2 of the kibble together each night. So 1/2 of the kibble soaks up a bit of the liquid from the fruit and veggies but is not soggy. The other 1/2 of the kibble I put in a separate dish or the "tip and treat" toy that I have linked below.****

this is a great way to store your frozen STAPLE Diet mixture. They pop out easier and have a lid so you can use them to store as well Ice cube trays. The cubes are smaller than standard ice cube size so you will want to double the amount of ice cubes the diet recommends but because they are smaller they also unthaw faster so that is nice

Thank you for this video!! I just started mine on the bml kibble and they were doing what yours did. Only eating the fruits and veggies and no kibble so I cut back and I see that they are eating more kibble now. I use the apple and Carmel flavor from white oak and mine seem to love it 🥰

Ordered this after I saw your video, got the package yesterday and after a week of preparation to switch their diet, I added some kibble (a bit less then they should have) some of their usual meal, and a bit more of their new staple diet! My gliders used to NEVER eat their kibble but surprisingly they ate ALL of this!! Only a few crumbs too, keeping in mind how messy they are 😂! Thanks so much for the recommendation!

Also I do have a kibble that I have with the TPG using the TPG kibble. But I was looking at the pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds that you use and it seems they are all out right now. I want to know any other ways to avoid dental issues if I can.

Thanks! I foster a sugar glider who has been through so much. He was on exotic nutrition kibble and wouldn't touch it. I immediately purchased the White Oaks kibble. I put little pieces of apple mushed in the kibble just enough to coat the kibble and soo that he can find little bits of it in there. He loves it. I mix the original with the Carmel apple and the honey coconut. I was a little worried because most groups say kibble is just a "snack." But I'm comforted to know it was formulated by the creater of the original diet.

Any will be safe as long as they are not low sugar because that can add artificial sugar and that is poisonous to gliders. I do cherry, mixed berry, vanilla or strawberry

Hello. Im a little curious about one thing. When im on internet about sugar glider dental problems, there is one thing that stands up. When i found thread about that - im 95% sure that its from USA. Dont get me wrong - amount of sugar gliders in USA is probably on point with europe as a whole. But still i cant really find much about it in europe. And i dont know why is that. Is it that in europe there is less public talks about that, or diet have something to do? Two most popular diets in europe is Critter Love and OHWP. From What i see dominant diet in USA is sgs2. I cant see anything wrong with any of thouse three. Maybe part of SGS2 makes gliders more likely to have dental problems ? Maybe you have some thougths on it ?

Do you have any idea on dealing with food aggressive sugar gliders? We haven’t been able to get ours to stop fighting. The male is large and a good hog and I’ve been trying to make sure the female gets ample opportunity to eat by feeding them separately. But I’d rather not have to if I can figure out how to fix the issue.

Totally reasonable question. If there is fruit in the mix typically it has enough juice to cold it in cubes. Otherwise you might need a little water

I would go to a veterinarian that will put them under anesthesia and do a deep scaling and exam to be sure and then switch diets. If there are bad teeth the problem will only get worse until they are removed

Hi I give my gliders cooked chicken every now and then . I put it on top of their sgs2 diet mush. And they go for it first they love it. Never have given them the bone though. So why do you peel of the chicken meat. Can they eat the chicken have I read wrong

They can have both but BML is very strict about calcium and phosphorus ratios so I don’t give them a ton of the meat since the dental benefits are in the bone part 😊

There can be an adjustment period. Also, if they have dental issues that could resist hard food. try softening some with apple juice

I work at an animal sanctuary on food prep and I was doing suger gliders 1 apple 1 banana 1 Pair And then the rest of the 2L tub with orange melon thing The also get meal worms And … supirior?? I don’t like the BML diet… most of these diets have too much sugar which causes a lot of dental issues with Sugar Gliders including abscesses which can and will cause death if you can not find a rare, hard to find Veterinarian that will do dental care on a Sugar Glider. Please be mindful of the sugar given to your Sugar Gliders. Dental issues are a major problem with these animals. I will look into the BML kibble as I have yet to find a Veterinarian that does dental cleanings on Sugar Gliders. I had one die due to a dental abscess that I was only able to get 3 Veterinarians to send me home with antibiotics as none would do dental care on my poor Sugar Glider. I have put in the pellet diet… boiling spring water and blended the food into a milkshake to get them to eat but all my Veterinarians want them on a staple pellet diet for teeth health.
