I personally found Electric Algal Bloom (355 attempts), Rombus Teleportus (363 attempts), and Metamorphosis (246 attempts) to be the hardest entries I've played. All the other entries I've played took under 200 attempts. Although tbf, I went for the coin in Metamorphosis which is why it took me that many attempts. Sugar HIGH was one of my favorite entries and it was quite sad to see it not place. I'm glad you made a public showcase of this level, it deserves it!

Personally deco and especially gameplay wise, this was my absolute favourite entry in the contest! I'm glad you made this one public and clarified why it didn't get into the top 20. I was honestly wondering if it was deemed too hard for it to be accepted

I saw this level in a stream with the creators in the chat when it got released! I remember they were trying to nerf the gameplay and make it better before the contest ended but I don't know if they did it in time! Regardless, I think it's a solid level. You could say it's eye candy! :)

That's understandble. The gameplay is very dependent on taste so the judging is very subjective. Initially watching the NCS Results, I was super confused on how this level didn't place at least within the top 10 due to it's gorgeous aesthetic. Thank you for clearing that up 🙏

I found this a lot easier than WANNACRY, but it makes sense with the style of gameplay that it would be much harder for a general player. Still a neat level visually, reminds me of that old Candy board game.

I actually expected that when I saw the gameplay, I was like “maybe this is harder than what Robtop and the judges wanted”, bit I was hoping it would get in a gauntlet or at least in the top 20, but it ended up not happening, still a banger that should’ve been at least legendary rated. Also Ik I’ve been asking this for so long, but can you upload Osiris by The Melon Syndicate publicly, and write a review and say why it didn’t get in the top 20. Bc the gameplay is easy demon (except the duals), and it executes it’s theme very well, and the visuals don’t seem to affect the gameplay that much

The original layout for this was made over 2 years ago and it was originally a hard/insane demon, so that’s why the gameplay is strange for its difficulty

Id like to use this to address the rating standards. How does this get only epic when its claimed by numerous mods to visually be incredible? the gameplay is also fantastic with the only criticism i see being that its learny, so make it hard demon? Its these small things that really make me question if robs rating system is any good at all, because for another example, magistro placed higher than wannacry in the contest, yet its rated lower? That makes absolutely no sense, yet its officially endorsed by robtop that magistro is better than wannacry, but cannot recieve higher rating than wannacry. Finally of the issue really is gameplay, why does rage quit get a pass? why can rage quit, a level with no creativity or originality in its gameplay, recieve the highest rating, yet sugar high which has really fun and original gameplay, be seemingly down-rated for its gameplay? there is no consistency at all. It reminds me of krmals level M A N I X getting rated when nothing in that level except one alpha trigger belongs to krmal, the rest being in a pre-existing level. With all of these issues i feel like now more than ever the rating standards should be made public so that the community can see when unfair rates happen and call them out, along with the mods getting a better understanding of what to send, since rob is the only one rating levels. My last straw for this games rating system is commatose, if it gets lower than legendary then rob needs to reevaluate his rating system, because it shows this game does not reward creativity, rather just visuals and spectacle. More and more each day i find myself more disappointed with where this game is going, and its mostly not the communities fault, rather the mod team and robtop himself.

@@Phalexx to make matters even worse, rob still being the only one to pick levels makes it unbelievably hard for new creators to have recognition, because it's inefficient and barely works in so many ways. That leads to really cool creations being completely overshadowed ofc. I am also concerned of the future of this game

@@WailedDuke0004 for this instance i mostly blame the mod teams inconsistencies. rob is known for only playing the beginning of levels, and only getting to the levels at the top of the sent tab. The mod team will mass send levels that are amazing and known to them either because of popularity or connections. If there was a better system in place that allowed levels to not be skipped over as easily, or if there were atleast 1 other person that could rate levels, this issue would be diminished by alot!

My problems with this levels are bad composition in some parts, detailed parallax in the foreground and either complete lack of or not detailed one in the backgroing and thet screen dimming effect in the first part lookimg goofy. Still better than ber zer ker

There were 1300 entries so we didn't have time to write down thoughts on all of them unfortunately. Most just have scores from 1 to 10 from each judge without any reasoning, and releasing that would just make people ask "why did you score this?" when we don't have the capacity to answer that for all levels.

The only thing i didn't like here is how this level insists so bad on putting orbs inside gravity portals, like in 1.9, they're the main reason why this level is hard, if you buffer them, you simplt die, and it's pretty hard to not die to these orb portals considering that this level is pretty much fast paced, it can easily be a me thing, but i certainly don't see a reason why putting the orbs like that, that's what green orbs are for, green orbs would fit better on a gameplay like this, to the point that it would actually make the level easier and more consistent, there's also this (0:31) wave-ball dual part, which is basically where the whole raw difficulty comes from, i don't know why, but it feels like rng, it can get annoying with time, don't get me wrong, i still enjoyed the level >~< (Level has only 1 green orb, it is at [0:48]).
