Jawad Sb, As Fannan Hassan mentioned below, sugar is a strong cement retarder. A higher dose can delay compressive strength build up and can cause a cement failure. I am a chemist and have studies cement chemistries in depth and worked with these chemicals for more than 20 years. Compressive strength can be enhanced by better dispersion of cement grains, i.e., using plasticizers or super plasticizers OR addition of other Cementous materials like reactive silicas, fly ash etc. or fume silica. Basic rule is LOW POROSITY, HIGH COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH. & LOW POROSITY Means Low water ration or proper adjustment of Coarse, Medium and fines. Any how appreciate your effort.

Really very good effort 👍, Let we analyze the few causes of normally concrete failure in local construction sites without implementation of international standards, mostly we are skipping the minimal health & Safety requirements (PPE) having the worse consequences where trapped, as observed no roadmap or exit is considered for emergency escape/ response, no risk assessment prior to work-start being practice, no work related orientation for workers even to those who just joined the work and had no previous experience of similar work, without proper equipment neither a backup in case of failure, No mix design or rebar quantity or bending schedule, letting the local "Mistry" to develop an unknown concrete mix formula with weird properties, uncontrolled temperature during mixing and placement of concrete, uncontrolled water: cement ratio and slump, without testing cylinder / cubes, without proper curing (regardless of curing methods). all these discrepancies are due to low budget😏, we are reducing the cast of concrete and ultimately we are compromising for the Quality and durability, anyway a competent & qualified consultant must be assigned to save the concrete structure & environment too.😜

I had used caustic soda in foundation of wall when it was raining and it worked very well. And then i used it in culvert foundation wher water was flowing down stream underground so i managed to set concrete very fast.

It's very good video but there is very little difference in fast set and delay set 0.02% hope no one gets it wrong if they doing the roof and accidentally put 0.02% more which is very much possible and mess the roof work absolutely wrong. Yar sugar tu retarder k tor pay use hota hai iska strength say koi taulaq nai. Aur retarder k lia use sirr tab karty hain jab app nay cement late set karna ho jiski mere khayal say normal construction work mein zarort nai honi chahyea. Opposite to sodium cloride k. Mixer details agar kissi bahi ko chahyea tu its below if you wanted more strength could use ceoncrete fiber along with the steel mesh. Just an idea Cement : rait : bajri : Strength M5 = 1:5:10 : 5N/mm2 M7.5=1:4:8 : 7.5 N/mm2 M10= 1:3:6 : 10N/mm2 M15= 1:2:4 : 15 N/mm2 M20= 1:1.5:3 : 20N/mm2 M25= 1:1:2 : 25N/mm2

Mr Jawad how can you suggest suger without trail mix.without trial mix especially with different brands of cement nd types of cement we can’t recommend any dosage second PC base admixtures are available in market people can use it but I would like to recommend to all people do not use suger without trials mix mean first make small amounts of concrete and test it its setting time its behaviour its strength otherwise concrete will delay its setting time that will effect on strength its not an easy job for layman

Dear jawad first of all i really appreciate your efforts regarding very useful videos for your viewers... Here let me add one thing... For setting time of concrete we you retarders and accelerators as per weather conditions for both we may use separate chemicals but there is quality in sugar it works in both manners retarder and accelerator... Depand on quantity for adding if we pour the sugar beyound the limit it works as retarder means enhance the initial setting time on concrete and get strength in final setting time and it will increase the final strength however below the limit sugar work as accelerator and it reduces the initial setting time and early strength but reduces the final strength after final setting time... 4% means if the strength was 100 then its 104 which is not a very significant difference but better than nothing . Also sugar is not that costly . Measuring 0.06 is a challenge as the strength decreases after that and at a specific value their is not any advantage so a very specific science .
