Just found this rose available on a dutch company! Thanks to your review I will consider buying it mainly cause of its fragrance. Can you comment on the petal count, size of the bloom, summer heat resistance and disease resistance?

I would say a large bloom, 25-30 petals, decent heat resistance, I’m not sure about disease because I sprayed religiously in hot/humid Texas, and now in California there’s no need to do so

Hello, your roses are charming, delightful, please tell me what is the distance between the bushes, how many rose bushes and where they grow in full sun or in partial shade. Thank you so much!

Thanks for the kind words. I have about 140 rosebushes, I try to space them about 4 feet apart, though some are a bit closer due to space limitations. I’m in a very sunny part of Calfiornia, so almost all of them get 6+ hours of sun in the summer, some get full 12+ hours. Roses get big here, so ideally some larger varieities would probably be better with more than 4ft of spacing. I do prune them to 18-24” tall in spring, except for climbers of course.

Sugar Moon has outstanding rain resistance, tends not to ball or spot like many other whites.

PJP II is my favorite white rose but if this one is super fragrant I'm definitely considering it. Would you say this is your most fragrant rose?

I agree PJPII is all around the best white HT, a nearly perfect rose. But Sugar Moon’s fragrance is even that much better than PJP’s, and it is a decent garden rose too. I’d say most fragrant are Sugar Moon, Fragrant Cloud, Sweet Delight, Neil Diamond, Double Delight, might be a few new contenders.

Sugar Moon has always been very upright for me perhaps try pruning heavily in spring?

Sugar Moon seems to do fine in a variety of climates including hot and humid, but I’m not knowledgable about sellers in India

Yes, it is only one bush. We have long growing season, much sunshine and no disease, so rosebushes get very big…I only planted it 1 year ago! I have seen very beautiful roses grown in Moscow, so you must live in a good climate as well.

Спасибо большое за ответ, да уж , я думаю, что климат у нас как в Канаде, снег с ноября по март , но всё равно много людей сажают розы , у меня их где-то 250 куста, очень понравились розы японской селекции, у меня 35 сорта, розы в нашем климате успевают процвести в 2 волны , а вот на юге России и в три волны, спасибо ещё раз за ответ, удачи и ещё много красивых роз!😊

@@ДиляТинниковамоипрекрасныерозы 250 roses, how wonderful! I have about 150 plants, there are maybe 145 varieites, very few duplicates. The Japanese and Chinese varieties have only recently become available here, I find them very interesting as well

Hello! The rose is called Chantilly Cream, introduced in the US just this year, bred by Christian Bedard. It has been an excellent variety, big long lasting blooms with strong citrus scent
