Well, people were not lying, this really is the sweetest city in China. Built up over years due to ancestors preference for sweetness, this city gave me a hard core sugar high. No matter what, it was still a good time. Now I have just two more videos coming from China which will both explore Shanghai’s food scene. I hope you all are as excited as I am! Much love, Max

You really picked some of the most iconic food in Wuxi, and I'm glad and even surprised that you went for Mao Hua as your first stop! It is THE favorite place for many locals. Miss every aspect of my hometown Wuxi.

I've lived here in Wuxi since 2017. During this coronavirus situation I've started cooking at home again . I can cook, but its pretty basic.( I'm Irish, we keep it simple). But I'm dying for that fantastic Wuxi food again! Braised pork is my absolute favourite. Great video, I'm hungry now!
@zhiyaozhang81995 жыл бұрын
As a Wuxiese, I recommend you to mix meat in the plats and noodle together. That's a more traditional and more pleasant way to enjoy it.

As a Wuxi person, let me explain why Wuxi people have the most sweet tooth in China.Since ancient times, Wuxi has been one of the richest regions in China. In ancient times, sugar was a relatively rare condiment that was generally affordable only by the rich. Wuxi has been the core economic area of China for thousands of years and is also the lowest Adjust the economic strength of the city. It is currently the city with the highest per capita GDP in China.

Hey Max , I am blown away! Every place you took us to today was epic. I have to say my favorite was the butternut bread bakery. The crunch of those egg and scallion breads came through loud and clear. The temple was amazing! I love pagodas . Maybe one day you can take us inside one. The meatball stuffed bun in the beginning, you could see the juices running out. I am so jealous. Maybe one day . For now keep on travelin' brother. Stay safe .
