You can also freeze distill this into sugar vodka. Just place the sugar wine in the freezer until it's mostly solid, then pour out the liquid and let it drip for a bit. Since alcohol freezes at a lower temperature than water, the alcohol melts off first leaving you with a much higher proof.

A pal of mine who lived in Central America told me he'd made a great sparkling wine that was like champagne. nice, some real sugar cane wine, bet it would taste lovely :) this sugar wine is a base for mixing with other things as it's just refined sugar it doesn't have a lot of taste on it's own. you could try pepping it up with a bit of brown sugar. :) the thing about making drinks sparkling is you can use any yeast to do it as they all work the same way, eat sugar, make alcohol and fart co2 :P a good example is beer and also a good place to get carbonation guides from so you don't make bottle bombs too :)

Hey, I would suggest none. This is a wine recipe and not meant for bread yeast. If you are looking to use bread yeast, try my brewing with bread yeast play list. It will help you make something that's nice to drink 😁 indeed I suggest using half the sugar content if using bread yeast as it's not designed to make alcohol. Of you are smaller containers to brew divide the total sugar content in the recipe this being 1kg and dividing it by 4.5 ( 5 if you want to make it easier) to give you the amount of sugar per liter

It's OK to use for distilling like the recipes you mentioned. The sheer volume of yeast used aids in the speed of brewing and percentage you can gain over all. General brewing on the other that's not distilled, the bread yeast produces off flavors and more methanol the higher the percentage. Then again turbo yeast is as cheap as 2.50 and can brew 14% in 2 days.

@makinghomebrewwildandcheap5 жыл бұрын
hey, the dreaded far smell from wines :P it does happen occasionally. the main cause is yeast stress. This could be any number of things from heat to too much nutrient or too little nutrient. some wine naturally give off a sulfur smell during the start of fermentation ( elderberries come to mind) it usually sorts it self out as the unhappy yeast dies off leaving the happier yeast to have a party. never had a problem personally with it on low abv things. maybe it was just a bad batch of yeast. it does happen sometimes :)
