That there is pretty cool! Documented history! Yes indeed, keep it in "as raced" condition. You have the original parts to display along side and if they never see dirt, they won't get broken! I have a model 89 pursang i got from my cousin YEARS ago. It was scattered all over his shed. Frame on the wall, engine in a milk crate and assorted boxes and cans. The stock pipe was gone but a Bassini chamber came with it. Wheels and forks in the corner, fiberglass fenders were broken in half but side covers and tank were usable. Over time the tank got leaky (weeped fuel) which was a shame. It did have Jim Pomeroy's autograph on it but faded over time. Modern plastic fenders are on it now but i did trim the front fender so it's narrow and doesn't look out of place. I have a yellow aftermarket plastic tank with the single bolt mount in the center (as you might buy in the 70s) on it now and I painted the side covers to match. It's not a restoration but what might have been put together back then and it's a runner!! 😊

Awesome, I own a 66 campera, and you are correct the tank is from the US mk1 campera. I am in process of converting mine into a mix between 1960-63 sherpa s 175, with the help of a good friend who is also a bultaco expert to get a close as possible/affordable replica. He actually owns one of the early prototype sherpa scramblers. Truly awesome machines, I have always loved bultacos and I'm drooling over your sherpa btw 66 is a MK1 and you have the later five speed engine the 66 or MK1 camperas were 4 speed models so you have a rather trick setup with period parts.🍻 from NC

I have a 1966 Campera M21, your right they are a 4 speed. Very hard to find anything on the internet about them including pictures. Im trying to find a picture of a stock frame particularly under the seat to do some repair. Someone cut out the center bar below the seat. It's a cool bike though

Very nice, I restore Buls, the first one I got 35 years ago was a 125 Sherpa S which I converted to a 175. I have restored and sold a dozen or so, fixed up and sold many more, also have a collection of HD Sprints. I think you should leave this bike as-is, it's a period piece and they're only original once, restoring makes them too nice to ride.

Picture at 5:50 appears to be a 125cc by looking at the pipe!
